Learning Commons

Learning Commons The Learning Commons comprises of Disability Services, Reading/Writing Center, and Student Success Services. We provide drop-in and individual tutoring, academic skills coaching, academic accommodations, and reading and writing support.

Located on the third and fourth floor of the Ge**er Center, the Learning Commons is designed for students to build skills in areas that are critical to success in college. Current services include workshops on topics such as study skills and time management, tutoring, academic accommodations for students with disabilities, and assistance with reading, writing, English language use, and information literacy and research.

Start off the term right and ask for help now! Visit Starfish to request an individual tutor if you have a C or below in a class or request a RWC tutor to help you with your writing.

1. Sign into your account.
2. Click the three bars up in the left corner that say "My Success Network".
3. Select "Request Help" from the menu bar that drops down.
4. Click the drop down and select "I need individual tutoring help" for a peer tutor or select "I need help with my writing" for a RWC appointment.
5. Fill out which class you are requesting a tutor for and what you are struggling with.

If you have above a C in a class and you are looking for extra help, check out the "Learning Commons" page on the Augustana website and look at the departmental tutoring schedule.
