half a syringe. that’s it ✨

more shape, not just more size. we defined her border and gave her cupid’s bow a little lift, so her lips look sculpted instead of just bigger.

balance between top and bottom. her upper lip got a bit more support, so the two lips work together and still fit the rest of her face.

why half and not a full syringe? she already had great lips to start with. her goal was definition, so we used just enough to get there. more product would have taken us away from her goal, not closer to it.

this is fresh out of the chair, so expect it to soften and settle over the next couple of weeks.

Five aesthetics horror stories. No ghosts, just things I hear about in my chair all the time. 🎃

The botox deal too good to be true. When the price looks unreal, you can’t see where the product came from, how it was stored, or how much it was diluted.

The medical director who’s never met you. At some places that name is on the paperwork and nowhere else. Ask who’s actually overseeing your care.

Filler that moved, then got blamed on your face. Placement and volume matter. Your anatomy isn’t the problem.

The laser package sold before a skin check. Your skin type decides which laser is safe for you. That has to come first, not after you’ve paid.

A prevention plan for problems you don’t have. If you don’t need it yet, a good provider will tell you so.

The scariest part? Most of these are avoidable when you ask questions first.

why we laser during laser season 🍂

this is her neck after two sessions of sylfirm x. the fine crepey lines across the front have softened, the horizontal neck lines are shallower, and the whole surface reads smoother and more even. and we’re not done yet. she’s coming in for session three, and possibly a fourth, because she’s responding this well.

why fall: sylfirm x is radiofrequency microneedling, and the weeks after a session are when your skin needs the most protection from the sun. shorter days and less time outside make fall and winter the easiest time to protect your results while they build.

why the neck: neck skin is thinner than facial skin and has fewer oil glands, so it shows texture early and is slow to bounce back. it needs a treatment that rebuilds from underneath, and that’s exactly what this one does.

why a series: collagen remodeling builds over weeks. each session stacks on the one before, which is why we plan treatments as a series and decide on the fourth session based on how her skin looks after the third.

"Forehead: $X.” Sounds simple, right? Here’s what that number doesn’t tell you.

The area isn’t the dose. One forehead can need half the units of another. A flat price per area doesn’t tell you which one you got.

Ask for the units, every time. You should know how many units went in and why. If the price never changes no matter how much product goes in, it’s fair to ask what does.

A good provider will just tell you. Your dose is a medical decision based on your muscles, your goals, and how you moved at your last appointment. In my chair, your number is never a secret.
