On Christmas Day of 2008, my family’s lives flashed before our eyes when my dad collapsed in a seizure attack. To make the story short, since then my dad has battled Brain cancer. And today he continues to fight the good fight with grace and wisdom in every way. Today I prepped for the Sanlam Capetown half marathon and this run will be for my Dad. I can’t hide the fact this dwells so much on me that both my parents battle this dreadful disease, Cancer. Did my demo run for Sanlam Capetown Marathon and continued to finish my 16km on October 16th for the 7 day October Pink Challenge for my mom Molly Mwape. I know all of us have our own fights and trials we facing in our lives. Do you allow those trials you face to overtake your life with anxiety, depression or any kind of disorder?You can’t let the situation win over you. Do something healthy today you will be proud of tomorrow.”
When you make the choice today to look after your body, work out, eat healthy food and think positive thoughts you are preparing yourself to be the best possible version of yourself tomorrow.
