💙 Caregiver Burnout & Dementia

Caring for someone living with dementia can be deeply meaningful—but it can also be exhausting. Caregiver burnout may show up as feeling overwhelmed, isolated, irritable, emotionally drained, or simply “running on empty.”

You don’t have to do this alone. Dementia support groups offer a safe place to connect with others who understand, share experiences, learn practical caregiving strategies, and find encouragement and emotional support. Sometimes, knowing that someone else truly gets it can make all the difference.

A gentle reminder that the Nevada County Dementia Support Group will meet this Friday, August 21st, at 2:30 PM at Holy Trinity in Nevada City.

If you are caring for, supporting, or simply loving someone living with dementia, you are welcome to join us. This is a free meeting, and no RSVP is needed.

Support groups offer a place to:

💜 The Nevada County Dementia Support Group is Back! 💜

I'm happy to announce that the Nevada County Dementia Support Group is returning this Friday at 2:30 p.m. at Holy Trinity in Nevada City, and I would love to welcome you.

Thank you for your patience over the past month while I took a brief respite to rest and recharge. I appreciate your understanding and look forward to gathering together again.

If you are caring for or love someone living with dementia, you don't have to navigate this journey alone. The Nevada County Dementia Support Group offers a safe, compassionate space to connect with others who truly understand, share experiences, learn practical caregiving strategies, and receive encouragement. Taking time to care for yourself can help reduce caregiver stress and burnout while reminding you that support is always available.

✨ This meeting is FREE and open to anyone who is caring for or loves someone living with dementia. Whether you've attended before or are joining us for the first time, you are warmly welcome.

Our Dementia Support Groups will be taking a short summer break and will not meet again until August.

I want to sincerely thank everyone who has attended and participated in our meetings. Your openness, support, and willingness to share your experiences have created a caring and welcoming community. It is an honor to be part of this journey with you.

I will be taking a brief respite to rest and recharge and appreciate your understanding.

Join us tomorrow at 10:30 AM at Cascades of Grass Valley for our monthly Dementia Caregiver Support Group.

Caregiving can be challenging, but you don't have to do it alone. Our support group offers a welcoming space to:

✨ Share experiences and caregiving tips
✨ Find encouragement and emotional support
✨ Learn valuable resources and strategies

Please note: Our Lake Wildwood support group will be taking a summer break and will not meet during June, July, or August. We look forward to resuming meetings in September.
