🌱Have I mentioned lately how much I truly appreciate my clients? I love doing what I do.

“I can’t say enough wonderful things about Jennifer and her work! I’ve been going to her for the past 6 years, including throughout three of my pregnancies.

She is incredibly knowledgeable, attentive, and truly listens to what my body needs. Every massage leaves me feeling relaxed and refreshed. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a massage therapist who truly cares about her clients.” -Jaclyn

You can spend an hour lying on a massage table and still have a hard time letting yourself rest.

Your mind is making lists. You’re anticipating the next thing. You catch yourself holding your breath or keeping your muscles tense without meaning to.

🌱This is part of why I’ve brought somatic bodywork into my practice. I want to give you time to notice those things, get curious about them, and explore what feels comfortable for you.

Sometimes that means slowing the touch down. Sometimes it means noticing where you’re bracing, changing positions, or taking a moment before we continue. What you notice helps guide how we work together.

You don’t need to know how to “let go” before you come in. We can start right where you are. 🤍

Calm your system. Restore your body.💛

The face behind Restored Within.
This is me🤍

As a wife, mom, and massage therapist, I know how easy it is to keep giving while putting yourself last.

That’s why the heart of Restored Within is encouraging you to make room for your own care—through massage, somatic bodywork, gentle movement, or simply a quiet moment to breathe.

Taking care of yourself can start small. Notice where you’re holding tension, give yourself permission to pause, and listen to what your body needs.

You deserve care, too. 🤍

Calm your system. Restore your body.

So…. last spring I asked clients what they’d like to see more of in my treatment room. There were three modalities listed and they needed to vote! Assisted stretching tied with one of the other modalities (the other two to be announced soon!)

A little training update from Restored Within, as promised!! 🤍

My stretching class has taken me a little longer to finish than I originally expected (summer, tornadoes, back to school and kiddos…oh my!), but I’m nearing the finish line—and I’m excited to bring what I’m learning into your sessions!

NOTE: through the first/second part of my training I realized that I do a lot of these stretches already, but I’m bringing some new ones to you!

Why pair massage with assisted stretching?

✨ Massage can help ease muscle tension and discomfort.
✨ Stretching supports flexibility and range of motion.
✨ Together, they allow us to focus on both how your body feels and how comfortably it moves.

Think about reaching overhead, turning to look behind you, or bending down—comfortable movement matters in everyday life.

Assisted stretching is gentle, guided, and tailored to you. You don’t have to be flexible to begin, and we won’t force a stretch.

I’m looking forward to adding another thoughtful way to help you feel better and move with more ease.

Calm your system. Restore your body.

October often brings a fuller calendar and a little less room to pause. This month at Restored Within, I’m making space for a quiet moment just for you.

🍂October’s monthly ritual is facial gua sha. Using gentle, slow strokes, this soothing enhancement invites you to relax your face and jaw while you settle into your massage. It’s a lovely choice if you’ve noticed yourself holding tension around your temples or clenching through a busy day.

Choose facial gua sha as your seasonal enhancement with a Restore + Renew session this October.

Ready for a little extra time to yourself? Text me to upgrade your October session, and let me know you’d like the October gua sha monthly ritual.

To the moms who are always on the go…

(I’m one of them🙋‍♀️…the reason why I’m in a tank from work because I ran out of the house this morning like it’s still 80 degrees out 😂)

You’re keeping track of appointments, practices, meals, work, school schedules—and everyone else’s needs. Even when your body finally stops, your mind may still be running.

Living in that constant state of “what’s next?” can leave your nervous system stuck in survival mode. You might notice tight shoulders, a clenched jaw, shallow breathing, irritability, exhaustion—or difficulty truly relaxing.

🌱Somatic bodywork helps you slow down and reconnect with what your body needs. Through supportive touch, breath, gentle movement, and nervous-system regulation, we create space for your body to soften and feel safe enough to rest.

You don’t have to earn rest by finishing everything first.

Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is pause, receive support, and allow your nervous system to reset. 🤍

Calm your system. Restore your body.

DID YOU KNOW?

Did you know jaw tension can be connected to more than just tight muscles?

Clenching, grinding, headaches, and tension around the jaw may become more noticeable when your nervous system is under ongoing stress. Sometimes the body holds what we haven’t yet had the space to release—and the jaw is a common place for that tension to settle.

🌱This is one reason I’m interested in taking additional training focused on TMJ and jaw work. I would love to better understand the connection between the jaw, surrounding muscles, breathing patterns, and the nervous system—and learn safe techniques that may complement the somatic and restorative work I already offer.

🫶I’m always looking for meaningful ways to continue learning so I can support the whole person, not just the area that hurts.

Would TMJ-focused bodywork be something you’d be interested in seeing at Restored Within?

Calm your system. Restore your body. 🤍
