In honor of , I’m going to share a few posts about my personal journey with breast cancer, which ultimately inspired me to open Wellness by the Sea, along with with the many thins I’ve learned along the way.
This was me on my first day of chemo. I had no idea at the time how much this experience would change the direction of my life.
And then there’s the second photo…me in Vegas on a work trip a few weeks after I finished that dreaded treatment.
Apparently my approach was finish chemo, get on a plane, and keep living 😂
But while I was doing my best to get back to normal, my perspective on health and wellness was changing. I went on a crusade to understand the disease and opened my mind to different approaches to healing and prevention. I never felt so empowered as when I could go to my doctor’s appointments with suggestions, new ideas and learnings, and advocate for myself with knowledge and confidence.
This journey eventually led me to Wellness by the Sea.
It wasn’t something I planned when I was sitting there in that first photo. But sometimes life takes you in a direction you never expected - and you end up exactly where you’re supposed to be.
