What if your first response to pain is making you push harder instead of slowing down? 🌿
Follow Botany Scientifics for science-backed education, health advocacy, and conversations that help you better understand your body.
When pain shows up, what do you do? Push through the dishes, keep working, ignore it, or shut down completely?
It’s easy to get caught in survival mode when life doesn’t stop just because your body hurts. But sometimes, giving yourself permission to pause and pay attention can change how you respond.
We explore the relationship between breathing, gentle movement, and managing pain in the moment. One technique discussed is coordinating movement with your exhale, using your breath as a cue to slow down and move with greater awareness.
Everyone experiences pain differently, and movement isn’t appropriate for every type of pain. The goal is to listen to your body, avoid pushing through worsening symptoms, and find approaches that support your well-being.
💬 Join the conversation LIVE every Thursday at 7 PM CST to explore pain, cannabinoid science, and ways to become a more informed health advocate.
