💻 What will digital health look like in 2027?

As healthcare technology continues to evolve, the conversation is shifting from what technology can do to whether it actually improves care.

Here are five trends we expect to shape the year ahead:

1️⃣ AI will have to prove its value.
Healthcare organizations will increasingly look beyond impressive algorithms and ask whether AI improves outcomes, reduces burden, and supports better decisions.

2️⃣ Remote monitoring will move beyond collecting data.
The next generation of RPM will focus more on turning patient data into timely, actionable support.

3️⃣ Personalized care will become the expectation.
Patients won’t just want more health information. They’ll expect guidance that reflects their individual health, behaviors, and goals.

4️⃣ More care will happen at home.
Remote monitoring, virtual care, and digital engagement will continue extending healthcare beyond hospitals and clinics.

5️⃣ Patient engagement will become just as important as the technology itself.
A device can collect a measurement. The bigger challenge is helping patients understand it, stay involved, and take the next appropriate step. After all, what happens after the appointment matters most.

At KURA Care, we believe the future of digital health lies in connecting data, engagement, and human care. 2027 may be less about adding more technology and more about making the technology we already have genuinely useful for patients and providers.

September is Healthy Aging Month, a reminder that the habits we build over time can influence how we feel, function, and stay independent as we age.

Healthy aging can include:
❤️ Managing blood pressure and cholesterol
❤️ Staying socially connected
❤️ Maintaining strength and mobility
❤️ Getting enough sleep
❤️ Keeping up with medications and preventive care
❤️ Staying engaged with your mental health

Healthy aging also means helping people feel informed, supported, and confident in managing their health between visits. Small, sustainable habits today can support greater independence and well-being tomorrow.

Learn more about proper self-care here ⬇️ :

Many of us are willing to support and help others, and much of our time and services are devoted to others, putting ourselves at the bottom of the “care list”. We always put other people first. We keep on providing love and kindness to others even when our energy is drained. If we are constantly...

September is National Cholesterol Education Month ❤️ !

Cholesterol is essential for the body, but having too much LDL cholesterol can contribute to plaque buildup in the arteries and increase the risk of cardiovascular disease over time.

The tricky part? High cholesterol often has no obvious symptoms. That’s why knowing your numbers, understanding your personal risk factors, and keeping up with routine screenings can be so important.

Healthy habits like choosing more fiber-rich foods, limiting saturated fats, staying active, and taking prescribed medications consistently can all support better cholesterol management.

We believe prevention starts with understanding your health and having the support to act on that information. Know your numbers. Understand your risk. Take small steps toward a healthier heart.

As the days get shorter, seasonal changes can affect more than just the weather. 🍂

Seasonal affective disorder (SAD), a type of depression associated with changes in seasons, most commonly begins in the late fall or early winter. Reduced daylight, changes in routines, and spending more time indoors can all make this time of year harder for some people.

That makes it especially important to pay attention to mental well-being as we move into the colder months. There are simple ways to support mental health, including:
🔸 Getting enough sleep
🔸 Staying active
🔸 Eating well
🔸 Connecting with others
🔸 Journaling or finding creative outlets
🔸 Making time for activities you enjoy

Mental and physical health are closely connected, and supporting one can have meaningful effects on the other. Depression has also been associated with an increased risk of conditions such as heart disease and stroke.

Taking care of your mental health is part of taking care of your overall health.

Mental health is crucial for everyone, and unfortunately, it’s often overlooked. It’s important because it impacts our daily lives and affects how we make decisions. Without mental health, it can be a struggle to maintain healthy relationships, prevent enjoyment of life, and have severe implicat...

It's back-to-school season! 🎒 📝

Not only does it bring new schedules, but it can also mean more germs coming home. As students return to classrooms, families may see an increase in colds, flu, COVID-19, and other respiratory illnesses. For many people, these infections are temporary inconveniences. But for older adults and people with cardiovascular conditions, getting sick can place additional stress on the body and sometimes complicate recovery or chronic disease management.

A few simple habits can help reduce risk:
📌 Stay up to date on recommended vaccinations
📌 Wash hands regularly
📌 Avoid close contact when someone is sick
📌 Stay hydrated and get adequate rest
📌 Pay attention to changes in symptoms, especially if you have an existing heart condition

Health support should extend beyond the clinic. Everyday changes, including illness, symptoms, and disruptions to normal routines, can affect a patient’s overall well-being.

Back-to-school season is a good reminder that prevention starts at home, and staying connected to your health matters year-round.

AI in healthcare can’t succeed if the people delivering care aren’t part of the conversation. 🩺

Recent healthcare news highlights a growing call for nurses to have a greater role in how clinical AI is designed and implemented. Researchers and clinicians argue that frontline involvement is essential as AI becomes more embedded in patient care.

That’s an important reminder: healthcare technology has two users—the patient and the provider. A tool may be convenient for patients, but if it adds unnecessary alerts or administrative work for clinicians, it may not improve quality of life.

At KURA Care, supporting both sides of that relationship is fundamental.

Digital health should help patients feel more informed and supported while giving providers meaningful insights without creating additional burden. The strongest healthcare technology doesn’t choose between the patient experience and the provider experience. It improves both.
