Rehab doesn't stop when the pain is over — that's when prehab begins.
After 28 years as a physical therapist, one of the biggest misconceptions I see: people think recovery is a straight line, or that finishing rehab means stopping exercises entirely.
Plateaus are normal. Consistency beats perfection. And keeping 2-3 key rehab exercises as a daily warm-up is what actually helps keep pain from coming back.
The goal was never just getting out of pain — it's reducing the risk of it returning.
Save this if you've ever stopped your exercises once you felt better.
