TallowKind started as a little branch of our farm and a dream I could not seem to let go of.

I thought about it, prayed about it and finally convinced my husband it was time to pursue it.

I wanted to build something rooted in the same values as Lewis Land & Cattle. Something thoughtful, trustworthy and created for families who care about the products they bring into their homes.

What began with simple tallow-based skincare has grown into face, body, bath and self-care products that now ship to customers and boutiques far beyond our little corner of Kentucky.

I still get excited when an order comes through. I still notice the names of returning customers. I still think about the person who will open each package.

Growth is exciting, but knowing real people believe in something that once existed only in my mind is the part that means the most.

One of the most common questions I receive is, “What does tallow cream actually feel like?”

It’s rich, concentrated, and completely different from the thin lotions many of us grew up using.

Because of that, you usually don’t need a large amount. Start small, warm it gently between your fingertips, and take a moment to massage it into your skin.

That little pause is part of what I love about it.
