Artificial Intelligence CAN be a powerful tool—helping with fat loss 🏋️‍♂️, optimizing workouts 💪, and even guiding better decision-making 🧠. But here’s the deal: AI is only as good as the data it’s trained on 🧐. If it’s built on flawed science 🚫 or outdated info 📉, it can lead you in the wrong direction FAST!

A recent study shows AI models 🤖📊 can effectively coach people to burn fat and get lean. Sounds amazing, right? BUT… many of these models are still stuck in the past ⏳, pushing outdated ideas like "just eat less" and "calories in, calories out"—even though modern science has DEBUNKED that nonsense 🚮.

👉 Truth bomb 💥:
If an AI tells you to just cut calories 🍽️ without considering hormones 🧬, metabolism 🔥, and fasting ⏳, you’re dealing with a bad model.

I’ve noticed that when I dry fast—despite it being much harder—there seem to be greater benefits. Once I come down off a carb-heavy plateau (where I’ve been eating carbs and junk for a while), a “dry day” gives me a head start. Sleeping without drinking water for 7–8 hours is already a mini-fast. When I continue dry fasting during the day, I find it easier to enter a deeper state of autophagy. That switch can take several hours of dry fasting or up to a few days with water fasting. Dry fasting forces the body to transition more abruptly into burning stored fat.

Back in leaner times, people naturally stayed in a fat-burning zone. When our bodies needed energy and dietary sugar was low, we tapped into stored fat. Today, however, 70–80% of people are overweight or obese (with about half of those considered obese). That’s largely thanks to processed, sugar- and carb-laden foods which keep us from ever burning stored fat. Over time, we just accumulate more and more body fat.

One big culprit is that certain foods are engineered to be addictive. Some processed foods can be even harder to quit than certain drugs. And because “food is life,” it’s socially acceptable in a way drugs aren’t. Still, what we eat matters if we want to maintain a lean physique.

Look at the to***co lawsuits. Cigarette companies knowingly made their product more addictive, and we discovered how harmful smoking was only after a long fight. Food isn’t far behind: obesity carries massive health risks that can shorten lifespan and diminish quality of life.

A simpler, healthier way to eat? Meat, eggs, fish, vegetables, with some seasonal fruit in moderation. Watch out for hidden sugars in things like ketchup or tomato sauce (often high-fructose corn syrup). That stuff burdens the liver the way alcohol does and stops fat-burning in its tracks.

Dry fasting is more advanced—no water. One day of dry can be similar to three days of water fasting, but it’s riskier. I’m not a doctor, so please check with a medical professional.
Water fasting allows black coffee or tea, no calories. If you use artificial sweeteners, consider dropping them. Even a “sweet taste” can trigger hunger hormones.

Of course, you’re going to feel hunger when you stop eating. Skipping a regular meal might make you crazy at first. The hunger hormone surges in waves of 30 minutes to 1.5 hours. If you snack constantly, you might feel hunger more often, leading to that “hangry” combo (hungry + angry).

Reflect on this: How long have you wanted to change? Maybe “hangry” is proof something’s happening. If not now, when? Imagine going to a foreign country famous for its food and alcohol while you’re on a strict plan—if you can’t avoid indulging, you’re likely not ready for serious weight-loss commitments. Better to wait than to yo-yo.

Think of your body’s worth. What would you charge if someone wanted to buy one of your arms? $100,000? More? So why fill yourself with junk? If you do, maybe it’s time for some discomfort while breaking those habits.

I used to be on auto-pilot, hitting drive-thrus for tacos, fries, shakes—lots of them—and hiding the trash before I got home. That’s how I reached 365 pounds with a 65" waist. When you’re hiding your eating, you know there’s a problem. Acknowledge it, forgive yourself, and move on to a better reality.

Crucial point: Losing weight differs from losing fat. If you’re a woman, try 10-pound dumbbells; if you’re a man, 20s. Practice shoulder presses, bicep curls, triceps extensions, shrugs, lateral raises, rows, squats, and hinges. If you’re not an advanced lifter, these basics—done regularly—will build muscle and help you lose only fat while fasting and eating well. You need muscle; keep it, especially if you ever use GLP1 drugs like Ozempic.

I was a chubby kid who got bullied, a big cop (donut jokes are real), then a heavy realtor. Eventually, I found a way to torch the fat and keep it off. Yes, I fluctuate, but now I know how to correct my course with fasting. I’ve done up to 14 days of water fasting—literally skipping “break-fast” for 14 days.

New Year’s is around the corner. Gyms will be crowded for a few weeks, then empty again. People will abandon their new diets, forget their dumbbells, and before long they’ll gain another 30 pounds in 2025. Maybe this is the time you actually follow through. Don’t beat yourself up for past mistakes, but if you do slip up, immediately get back on track. One slip doesn’t have to mean total failure.
