Coming home from Comic Con this last couple weeks had a different plan of action other than coming down sick with Covid. Originally after getting home and getting the office set back up, the goal was to start working to unveil additional services, and mocking up ads for them too.

I'm in the process of reworking the current images to reflect current logo and services. there's a larger emphasis on the Tarot as a psychological practice to help understand the querent in the now.

todays big gurl feels: welp... the 'rona... I think that's what the kids are calling it these days, has hit and I'm going downhill with this rigmarole again.

I cant do much today, so I'm being quiet - well... when it comes to functioning in the world. Mentally on the other hand there isnt anything slowing me down - other than the equivalent of a virus check playing in the immune system... that AND the brain fog isn't as bad atm.

im not doing much at all today other than keeping up with the affirmation process. the affirmations on intimacy and being loved are going to have to wait... as are any other progress in the Bloc.

Yay Corona!

It's been a few days since my last update... Since then, I've been working on whispering affirmations to myself. But more than that, I've started a wee ritual about the affirmations: as I recite them I'm recalling a time; in the past it recent it in the moment: where the words are proven true - not just in physical memory, but in feelings where I recall feeling truly accepted and valued.

It's easy for someone looking in without understanding the context to think that feeling accepted and loved is easy... But It's not easy for me.

I have social PTSD where I was exposed to psychological warfare in a way that deprogrammed everything I was raised to see, believe, and feel. And this happened several times to the point that I don't know what's true or not I'm relation to people and once friends long ago.

The core of my depression I have is in the perception based belief that I will always not be seen, heard, valued, wanted, to be discarded and discounted, and my sheer existence is an annoyance - especially if I have the gaul to show that I have thoughts, opinions, and I'm human... Because for years I was treated like I wasn't.

That is the whole core of that depression, here is the affirmation:

"I am seen, I am heard. My thoughts and opinions are valued and my company is enjoyed."

That's it... That's the basic affirmation.

But as I started earlier, there's more to this affirmation than just the words... There's remembering how it's been proven true and how that feels... And I've been letting this affirmation be the reprogramming and resilience therapy focus of this week.

At the same time I'm working on designing the next affirmation resilience ritual in the list of issues to focus on in bloc 1: and it's one that truly frightens me as the focus is affirming that intimate touch and being loved is ok.

Yesterday as I was tapping on and working with the Big Gurl Feels of the day, I realized that over half of the therapy that I'm working on isn't just in solo work. It's also writing it out too...

Because writing it out even in this post setting make it real; makes it tangible, makes it something I can hold on to.

So; I started a notebook in my Microsoft OneNote detailing my goals, affirmations, overview of the process, & blocs I'm working on piece by piece.

Making it real with the help of these social posts to focus affirmations, and where I'm aiming.

I'm working on Bloc 1: childhood, teenage years, young adult years.

So... Putting in practice what I've learned and come to understand this far, affirmations for at least the core of my depression have been written, and a practice has been worked out.

So now...practice what I preach time.

Today's big gurl feels: is a wee bit of a detour from working with allowing sensuality & intimacy, and reclaiming being a sexual being; back into being - to focusing and working with why I view that people only like me around for my height, and for the fact that I can lift heavier things... even after saying time and again that I don't want to only be known for these things.

The personality associated with this is Hades, but also ties into the core of my depression in "not being heard, seen, valued, and discounted."

Depression is a bitch, and I realize that it's also perception - knee jerk reaction with out thinking it through.

I am valued, I am accepted, I am seen as I am... I am chronic depressive so battling the perception is life long...

In the end: what is it about being born and raised male that bothers me so where these perceptions truly lie? And this is the big gurl feels of the day.

Today's big gurl feels: in the middle of setting up for Comic-Con...

In many ways, letting the facet that is the h***y teen know that not only did I have what we've been seeing this whole time - allowing us to feel that weve had a chance to grow up with these feelings and satisfaction. But also, we're working on the core of our depression which drives the hunger to feel in sexual ways, and the unhealthy philosophies that were taken too far.

Yay... On top of this I have Tai Chi / Sword Tai Chi and Qi Gong playlists as meditations in movement that I want to get back into to help with the inner work I'm doing.

AND... Setting up for Comic-Con at the same time.

This year at SLO Fair, I had the pleasure to Celtic Art Store and be introduced to the Magick of not only her exquisite Celtic arts and designs, but also the Magick and wonder of the meditations behind these designs; how these mandalas guide their meditations and the rhythm behind them.

How it works is after chosing a mandala that speaks to you, trace the lines of the knottwork with a wand/ stylus/ or your finger. Do this for a lil bit... But then switch hands to trace the lines with, and as you focus and enter into this meditation, watch as the stresses and anxieties that bother you melt away.

Today's big girl feels to tackle: where does my intimacy issues really begin?

Surprisingly, it started when I was a teenager. Not long after a conversation I had when I was 14 that changed my reality, I started adopting a lot of weird and out there ideas. The old Greek philosophy of we are not animals is one of them. But, and my youth I took it to an extreme.

Now, as I'm beginning to work on this self therapy journey which has resulted in putting the pieces back together, I find myself going through my history as I remember it and finding the bits and pieces of ways that I did myself the most disservice.

After I adopted the we are not animals mentality, my desire for intimacy went down severely to the point that it turned into "I wouldn't even know what to do with it when I got it." Which turned into freak outs when desire is show to me by someone.

It is the middle of my Fair season, meaning that when the next fair comes, I am going to be out of the office for that duration, but I will always come back to the office. One of the things that I am beginning to think about rolling out, is Reiki for pets.

For us pet owners, our pets are not just some animals that we decide to hold on to, bring into our homes, and randomly show love to. For many of us our pets were chosen with deliberation, with purpose, to show love, yes but so much more. For a lot of us, our pets are our children. And we treat them as such.

Just like with people, pets too have emotions and feelings. They too feel stressed and anxiety in their own way. Reiki doesn't necessarily have to be a human-centric practice - it can also be used on pets, household pets, or any animal. Reiki, just like with a human, can alleviate stress, anxiety, or soothe ailments within our pets.

This is just one of the services that I am thinking about opening up after Fair season is done. Be sure to check back with me when Fair season finally ends in November to see whether or not this service is now available.
