I realize a few days ago it was World Mental Health Day. What will you do today that makes you happy? Being intentional about caring for ourselves will allow us to have space for feeling better in so many ways. And if we notice we aren’t able to think of anything that sounds fun to do, it could be symptom of depression. We may want to find someone who can help; we don’t have to remain in this state. There are professionals who can provide treatment and people who care. Don’t wait. Make that call to your doctor or a mental health provider and see how the world can look brighter. All shall be well in time.

What will you do today to find some happiness? When we are intentional about caring for ourselves we are able to feel better in so many ways. If we can’t find anything that sounds fun it may signal that we have something deeper going on that could use some attention. Call your doctor or a mental health provider to get treatment. Don’t wait! There are people who care and would like to help. All shall be well in time.

Being grateful is a mental shift we can create to help combat moments when we feel low. I’m grateful to this artist, Charles Mackesy for portraying this so beautifully. We can choose our thoughts, and it takes conscious effort to do so.
