Tomorrow Is Giving Tuesday!
In the middle of the #COVID19 crisis, we're finding peaceful moments where we can. Check out this whopper of a fish 🐟that Robert caught! 🐠🎣 Robert enjoys fishing with his roomate, and their DSPs have helped ensure that they are able to get outside and fish throughout the pandemic. #TGIF!
At this time our offices will remain closed, and all administrative staff will continue teleworking until further notice. We will begin introducing some virtual services next week - for more information and a complete list of program operations, please visit www.thearcccr.org/coronavirus
It's Friday! And we're ringing in the weekend with a little music from Phillip, who enjoys sharing his musical talent with others. Learning new songs on the guitar is just one of the ways he's kept busy, and kept everyone's spirits up during the weeks at home 🎸🎵🎼
You did it. In just a little more than 24 hours you raised $10,000 - that's FIVE TIMES our goal of $2,000. Thank you!
We are constantly amazed at the generosity of our community, especially now. We know that these are not easy times, and are truly humbled by your kindness.
With your help, we will keep supporting people with disabilities to live, work, play, and thrive despite this crisis. You are supporting vital work, right here, right now.
You are #killingit this #givingtuesday! So far you’ve helped us raise more than $8,700, and we are SO CLOSE to raising $10,000! With just $1,200 to go, will you help us reach our goal? http://ow.ly/1gm130qDx8W
Happy Administrative Professionals Day to all, but especially to Justin and Dylan, our First Impressions Specialist, and Building Concierge. They're waiting out the stay at home order, and we can't wait for them to return to work!
Just a little thank you...
We are amazed and so grateful for the support you've shown through this crisis. We couldn't do what we do, without you! Thank You!
In light of the current climate - we are extending the application deadline for the Family Fund. We recognize that as you navigate this public health crisis, you may find that your family's priorities have changed.

Now Accepting Family Fund Applications Through March 31st!
Applications for the Family Fund are open! The Arc’s Family fund helps pay for unfunded services for children with disabilities (21 & under). There is $30,660 available – and thanks to The Bowen Foundation for Autism, $10,000 is available for Autism-specific requests.
“We are very grateful for the generosity of our community, which makes this fund possible. There are effective therapies, services, and adaptive equipment available to support children with disabilities, but these resources are expensive and are often not covered by insurance. With our Family Fund, we work to fill the gaps in access to the supports we know make a significant difference in the lives of youth with a disability." - Jonathon Rondeau, CEO, The Arc Central Chesapeake Region
Applications are due March 31st. You can learn more about the grant, and apply online at www.thearcccr.org/familyfund
