Klumpp, Newton picked for ag trade advisory committees - Michigan Farm News

Congratulations to Ag Marvels CEO, Michael Klumpp on being appointed to the United States Agricultural Trade Advisory Committee, announced recently by the US Secretary of Agriculture! Mike will serve on the ATAC based in Washington DC until 2025, advising on Hemp in agriculture as the US pursues foreign trade agreements.

We had amazing day at the White House today, starting out with a Briefing by White House Staff, led by advisor to the President, Kellyanne Conway, and then updates from the USDA, EPA, and the Trade Commission.

After our visit there, our group was welcomed by our House Rep John Moolenaar to his offices, and then given a private tour of the Capital during his break from voting on the House floor.

We truly appreciate this Administration taking the time to value American farmers, hearing our voice, asking what they can do to help, and reassuring us that American & Michigan Agriculture is a major priority. #michiganfarmbureau

Think Michigan agriculture isn’t a national powerhouse? In the past couple of weeks, Michigan Farm Bureau members have met with Vice President Mike Pence, U.S. Department of Agriculture Sec. Sonny Perdue and, today, Kellyanne Conway, adviser to Pres. Donald J. Trump.

We spent the day on Capital Hill in Washington DC today, meeting with legislators about national Agricultural issues our American farmers are facing, in particular today, talking about laws affecting Ag Labor, immigration, the H-2A program, foreign crop imports, and more. Proud to be here with Michigan Farm Bureau in our nation’s capital this week.
