Recently, Iāve reconsidered going to Empire State College in the Summer of 2027 (where I was accepted) and furthering my pursuit in becoming a counselor. The reason why I have reconsidered is primarily due to financial concerns, especially in these economic times. Which brings me to a pivoting my goals. Please know that I am going to continue to substitute at Sidney Central School District indefinitely with an open mind keeping a possibility of a full time position if one should become available next school year.
Secondly, I am not as available as I'd like this school year as Iād like to within ISD Oneonta and my job as a substitute for Sidney CSD. If all goes well Iāll be done with all my classes May of 2027 with a certificate in Human Services added to my Associates in Applied Science Degree with a minor in Nursing (LPN) I already have with SUNY Morrisville and DCMO BOCES.
I want to personally thank you all for your continued support and friendship (friendship most of all). It is still my goal to study ministry when I can with ISD, not so much to be an ordained minister though. I only wish to obtain the title of Decon and continue metaphysical studies with our esteemed instructors for my own personal growth. I found out that serving on Sundays as emcee and homilist is enough for me. I also found out in counseling others in these practice sessions in these human services classes at MSC it has been giving me flashbacks on my own life. So as much as I wanted to counsel people, itās not for me. I can do pastoral care such as healing prayers and provide healing intuitive support, but long term counseling not so much. I do have a list I could give people of trained certified people to refer out as a "spiritual advisor" (different from spiritual counseling) in the way to assist the people in need.
I also maybe volunteering, hopefully with St. Lukes Lutheran Church, in other ways in the community I live in as well (Sidney, NY). These are programs such as a food bank, backpack program, and BP clinic they have with their nursing and medical professional members as a ministry program.
Just I found out recently, thatās enough for me in my life. I know I am a good caring person at the heart of who I am and thatās enough for me. I know who I am now without other peoples opinions and I am worthy and enough. Something I struggled with for a long time now. I donāt wish to live in negativity or spread that onto others anymore. Yes, like many of us Iāve been through the dark night of the soul aka hell and I donāt want it to rent space in my life anymore. I wish to live in compassion, empathy by spreading joy and kindness wrapped in love.
I wish you all well. God Bless and Blessed Be. Namaste and Hopoonoo to all.
