You can add a whole grain serving, I love Dave’s killer bread but can only have one thin slice or my glucose spikes. Add fats & seasonings as needed (there’s healthier fats than butter & cheese, but this is what I had time for). Voila. I’m focusing on low glycemic index right now & food quality, not calories or macros, for . Also back to using my (continuous glucose monitor) and app to help me learn to use all this data to learn what works for my body, and what it needs. What habit(s) are you working on this week?

For me, it’s trying to fit daily exercise into my life again, which has been hard since starting a business.

Instead of beating myself up over not being able to work out like I used to, I have to standardize the process of fitting exercise into every day. This has to be a specific plan, or it won’t happen.

For now, it will be good enough to just come up with a specific time that I will exercise every day. It doesn’t matter what I do, or for how long. I just have to make fitting exercise in a habit. I’m going to try 8:00 am every day this week. This is the time that works best for me & can be consistent every day.

I also need a decisive moment. So after I finish breakfast, and by 8:00 am, I will put on my workout clothes and get out the door, or head to my basement to exercise. Even 20-30 minutes will do for now.

What do you need to work on? What time will you do it? Even 2 minutes is long enough to establish any habit. Just keep repeating it and add to it when ready. What is the moment of decision for your habit? What is your cue?
