Taking in some financial education 🤓

Definitely an area I wish I had learned more about handling as a you adult. We definitely plan to add this topic to our homeschool education as well 📖

Mindset is soooo powerful! Your mind will give out long before your physical body 🥴 so if you can strengthen your mindset then your body will follow it to powerful places 💪🏼

We live in a world of instant gratification. So of course it’s easy to give up when those pounds don’t drop off after that first bite of salad and 30 minute workout 🤣
It’s even easier to give up after that 100th salad and 82nd workout....but that’s not how this works!
Keep going, you’ll get there (and so will I)!! 😘😘

They say you’re the “sum” of the 5 people you spend the most time with!
If that’s true I’ve got to get away from these hormonal teenagers!!! 🤣🤣
In all seriousness though, make sure you’re spending time with those who are a positive influence.
If you can’t find that at home then you can always take in positive reading, podcasts and entertainment.
And in turn...do your best to be a light for others as well 😘

Ok so we’re supposed to fuel our bodies with healthy foods like vegetables right?
Well that’s great but if you’re anything like me, I want something that tastes good, that I’m looking forward to eating and that doesn’t feel like a chore right!!??
If I’m not looking forward to what I have planned for a meal you better bet I’m probably going to skip it and choose something I like.
So, take time to think about the things you love to eat and then figure out how you can make that a healthy meal.
Listen, I have a love/hate relationship with chicken so if I plan a lunch salad with chicken on it and that chicken 🐓 rubs me the wrong way (NO ONE wants a chicken rubbing them the wrong way) then I’m gonna probably skip it. HOWEVER.....I ALWAYS LOVE bacon 🥓! So....I use bacon on my lunch salads! I’ve got mounds of green veggies 🥬, I add fruit, I drizzle a lil bit of dressing but those 2 strips of bacon keep me coming back for more 🤣
Not many people LOVE veggies but if you can find a way to make it pleasant by adding some flare....by all means, add the flare 🎉 and EAT YOUR VEGGIES!!!!! 😘

The other day I was trying to take a post-workout pic that looked “cute”. My 11 year was watching me and I said something like “how do I make this picture look good” just thinking out loud... to which my son replied “mom you look beautiful all the time, I love you how you are” 🤯
Two things came to mind (well 3 actually)...
One - what an amazing blessing it is to be loved unconditionally they way a child loves you. Because no matter what filter we see ourselves through they ONLY see us as the best! 💕
Two - why can’t I see myself the way he sees me? I often only see myself through the filter of MY WORST!
Three - I don’t want to set the example to him of not loving and being compassionate to myself just based on how I view my outward appearance or the filter I view myself through that picks up on my worst.
I CAN to better and I WANT to do better! So here’s a shot that I wasn’t thrilled with, but it’s me, sweaty and in need of sunlight and hair color 🤣😖 but me. The me that my kids and husband and friends love and the me that I’ll work to love 💕

So many people have said that at home workouts don’t work.
Let me tell you what I LOVE about at home workouts....
- I don’t have to wear cute gym clothes 🤣
- I don’t have to waste time driving to and from the gym
- The program and calendar are all spelled out for me
- I can choose a program based on how much time I have
- I can choose a program based on the intensity level I want
- I can choose weather I want to dance, lift, do cardio or stretching
- my workouts are lead by top trainers in the industry
- And on and on and on 🤓
With all the gyms closed what are you waiting for!? Give it a try!!
