I’m so excited to officially introduce Marlo as our new 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿.

Marlo comes to SHS with three years of experience in the hearing healthcare field and is a graduate of Millikin University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Communication and Education. With roots in both Christian and Shelby counties, she already has a wonderful connection to the communities we serve.

Marlo will be working alongside me to help with patient scheduling and office operations, as well as hearing aid cleanings and other patient care support services as she continues training in her role.

Most importantly, she’ll be another friendly face here to help me take great care of the people who trust Specialized Hearing Solutions with their hearing care.

After more than six years of building SHS, bringing someone on officially is a pretty big milestone for me, and I’m so excited for this next chapter.

Please help me give 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗼 a warm welcome!

It was my busiest month to date, and while seeing my business continue to grow is incredibly exciting, what means the most to me is what that growth represents.

These bags are just some of the patients who chose to take a step toward better hearing in September. Every one represents someone who trusted me to be a part of their hearing journey — and that is something I will never take for granted.

When I opened my first Specialized Hearing Solutions location in June of 2020, I truly didn’t know where this little business would take me. More than six years later, I’m still so grateful every time someone walks through my door, sends a family member or friend my way, or chooses SHS for their hearing care.

Watching someone reconnect with conversations, family, friends, and the sounds they’ve been missing is still one of my favorite parts of what I get to do every day.

So thankful for this crew for helping me take orders at the Taylorville Chillifest chili tent yesterday! 🌶️
They joined me in representing Specialized Hearing Solutions, and I appreciate them giving their time to help support our community. A busy day is always more fun with great people beside you!

Chillifest is still going on today—head to the square, grab some chili, and enjoy the festivities! 👏

When I opened Specialized Hearing Solutions, I wanted to create a place where hearing healthcare felt personal — where you could see a familiar face, receive honest guidance, and know you're being cared for by someone who truly values this community.

As Taylorville’s only 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗼𝘄𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 hearing clinic, that continues to be incredibly important to me. When you choose SHS, you're choosing local care from someone who lives, works, and is personally invested in the communities I serve.

Whether you're noticing a change in your hearing, need an adjustment or repair, or simply have questions, I'm always happy to help.
Proud to serve Taylorville, Shelbyville, and the surrounding communities.

Community involvement has always been a huge part of what Specialized Hearing Solutions is all about! ❤️

I’m proud to be part of the committee helping bring another great Taylorville Chillifest weekend to town. There’s a lot of work that happens behind the scenes to make events like this possible, and I’m grateful to work alongside so many people who care about our community.

We hope to see everyone out next weekend enjoying all that Chillifest has to offer! 🌶️🎉

On Wednesday, Specialized Hearing Solutions was proud to once again sponsor the Christian County Senior Citizens' Appreciation Luncheon alongside Stonington Fertilizer, Christian County Seeds, and Bayer.

It’s wonderful seeing hundreds of seniors from across Christian County gathered together to enjoy great food, fellowship, and a little friendly game of Bingo.

A sincere thank you to Angelo's Catering for another wonderful meal, the Christian County Fair Board for allowing us to be a part of fair week, our incredible volunteers, local first responders, the THS Cheerleaders and THS FFA students and Larry Barry for volunteering their time throughout the day. We are proud to support these outstanding student organizations each year in appreciation of everything they do for our community.

Thank you as well to Farm & Home for donating the water, the Fleming family for providing the tea, Battery Specialist + Golf Cars for transporting our guests, The Eagles for sponsoring another fun afternoon of Bingo, Mayor Bruce Barry for always bringing a little extra fun while calling the Bingo numbers and most importantly, thank you to our seniors. Your hard work, kindness, and dedication have helped shape the community we are fortunate to call home. It is an honor to celebrate you each year.

As the owner of Specialized Hearing Solutions, I believe in supporting every generation—from investing in our local youth to honoring those who paved the way before us. I’m proud to be part of such a meaningful tradition and am already looking forward to next year!
