Naturopathic Advocacy and Community Awareness Team was started in 2003 by students at the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and Health Sciences.
The Naturopathic Advocacy and Community Awareness Team (N-ACT) creates the future leaders of naturopathic medicine. Our organization strives to promote naturopathic medicine through legislative advocacy and public awareness efforts. N-ACT's mission is to educate students on healthcare legislation, encourage participation in legislative activities, establish student involvement in professional orga
nizations, and support students to enhance their skills for their future businesses. Our goal is to raise awareness about naturopathic medicine and build professional relationships in the community.

I'm working in an unlicensed state that has 2 UnD schools here (Michigan). Our bill to be licensed has passed through some of the hoops, one of which is our scope. This has passed and granted the SAME SCOPE as Arizona, once Michigan is licensed. The last bill to be voted on was overturned in June due to the 600 UnD's who phoned-in to fight it.
Don't rationalize with, "Oh I don't plan to work there, it won't affect me." Please realize that with every state licensed, we have increased awareness of our profession!!

Today in cc 220 we will have a. D.C. FLI wrap up at noon! This talk contains information that is relevant to anyone who wants to practice medicine as an ND. We have the most updated information about each state as far as their licensure and scope of practice and our "asks" this year upon the hill.
