Ladies, let’s get you on the calendar.

Between work, kids, family, and all the things on your never-ending to-do list, taking care of *you* can easily get pushed to the bottom.

That’s what we’re here for. Whether you’ve been meaning to address something for years or you’re ready to be proactive about your health, there’s a place for you at Pelvic Health Specialists.

The holidays will be here before we know it, so consider this your little nudge to book now instead of saying, “I’ll do it in January.” 😉

Your pelvic floor does a LOT more than you might think.

It works with your core, supports your pelvic organs, helps regulate bladder and bowel function, contributes to sexual health, and coordinates with your breathing.

And most women don’t think about their pelvic floor at all, until something is painful or feels wrong.

Pelvic health isn’t just about Kegels, and it isn’t just about pregnancy or postpartum. It plays a role in how you move, feel, and function throughout every stage of life. Our physical therapy sessions involve your entire body and promote wellness in every stage and facet of life!

Have questions about your pelvic health or if you're a candidate for PFPT? Pelvic Health Specialists is here to help!

Your hip pain might not actually be a hip problem.

Hip pain can feel very specific... you feel it in your hip, so naturally, you assume the hip is the source. But your body doesn’t work in isolation.

Your pelvic floor works together with your deep core, hips, diaphragm, spine, breathing mechanics, and the way you move. When one part of that system isn’t doing its job well, another area may start picking up the slack.

That can look like hip pain.
Low back pain.
Pelvic pressure.
Pain with movement.
Or discomfort that just never seems to fully go away.

And this is especially important during and after pregnancy. **More than half** of women experience pregnancy-related lumbopelvic or hip pain, yet the source of that pain isn’t always where you feel it.

That’s where pelvic health physical therapy can make a difference. At PHS, we look at the whole picture, through the whole body: how you breathe, move, stabilize, strengthen, and function... not just the location of your pain.

If specific and nagging pain keeps coming back, it may be time to look a little closer. 💙
