🌿✨ My Herbal Iron Tonic is Back! ✨🌿

I’m about to make myself a fresh batch of one of my favorite herbal preparations, and I thought I’d extend the love. ❤️

For years, I’ve made this herbal iron tonic syrup using a blend of nourishing herbs and foods traditionally used to support iron intake, including nettle, parsley, goji berries, yellow dock, apricot, and blackstrap molasses. 🌿

It’s a delicious way to incorporate more iron-rich foods and herbs into your routine, especially for women who may need a little extra nutritional support during times of increased iron needs.

✨ Why I love it:
🌿 Contains naturally iron-rich ingredients
🍊 Includes ingredients that provide vitamin C
🍯 Naturally sweetened with blackstrap molasses
🌱 A delicious alternative for those who don’t enjoy swallowing iron tablets
❤️ Something I’ve personally made and used for years

Have you ever tried an herbal iron tonic?

If you’d like the recipe, just comment “IRON” below and I’ll send it to you! 👇🌿

And if you’d rather skip the work and let me make a batch for you, comment or message me and I’ll let you know when it’s available. ❤️

This is a traditional herbal food preparation and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent anemia or replace prescribed iron therapy. If you have diagnosed iron-deficiency anemia, talk with your healthcare provider about appropriate treatment and monitoring.

Benefits of natural fibers

🌿 Your skin is your largest organ… so what you wear matters. 🤎

At The Secret Cottage, we’re passionate about choosing natural, earth-conscious materials because we believe comfort and sustainability can go hand in hand.

✨ Why choose natural fibers?

🌱 They’re breathable
Natural fibers like cotton and linen allow air to move through the fabric, helping your body regulate temperature and keeping you more comfortable.

🌿 They’re gentle on skin
Many people find natural fibers softer and less irritating than synthetic fabrics, especially for sensitive skin.

💧 They help manage moisture
Fibers like bamboo and linen can help wick moisture away, making them comfortable for everyday wear.

🌎 They’re a more mindful choice
Choosing sustainably sourced natural fibers supports a slower, more intentional approach to fashion — one that values quality over quantity.

🤎 They feel different because they are different.

There is something beautiful about wearing pieces made from the earth’s own materials — fibers grown, harvested, and crafted with care.

Just like we carefully choose what goes on our skin… we should also consider what rests against it all day long.

Slow down. Choose intentionally. Wear naturally. 🌿

🌿 Something new is growing at The Secret Cottage… and we’re doing it differently. 🤎

We believe that the things we bring into our homes and onto our bodies should be chosen with intention — with care for ourselves, the makers, and the earth.

Introducing our Natural Fiber Pre-Sale Collection ✨

Beautiful pieces made from thoughtfully sourced, sustainable fibers like:

🌱 100% Organic Cotton
🌿 Linen
🎋 Bamboo

Created with comfort, quality, and conscious living in mind.

Why pre-sale?

Because we believe in slow fashion, not fast waste.

By ordering through pre-sale, we can:

✨ Reduce overproduction and unnecessary waste
✨ Support ethical makers and small-batch production
✨ Invest in quality pieces instead of disposable trends
✨ Offer beautiful, sustainable goods at a more accessible price

Every order helps us create a more intentional way of shopping — one where we value the hands that make our products and the planet that provides for us.

This isn’t just clothing… it’s a choice.

A choice to slow down.
A choice to consume less and choose better.
A choice to surround ourselves with things that align with our values. 🌎🤎

Stay tuned for our first collection drop — and thank you for supporting this little cottage dream and the movement toward more mindful living. 🌿

A late Mother’s Day post because honestly… that just feels on brand for this season of life. 😂

Some days motherhood feels magical — herbal tea brewing on the stove, muddy little feet running through the yard, babies collecting bugs and flowers while I pretend I know where everyone’s shoes are. Other days it feels like surviving on coffee, reheated food, anxiety, laundry piles, and “MOMMMM” being screamed from three different directions while my husband and I try to remember we actually like each other underneath the stress.

This world feels heavy lately. Parenting feels heavy lately. Marriage, finances, growing pains, exhaustion, trying to build dreams while raising babies and somehow still remembering to thaw the chicken for dinner… heavy.

But goodness… what a privilege it is, too.

To be the safe place.
To kiss scraped knees.
To teach tiny humans to love the Earth, get dirty, be kind, and stay soft in a world that tries hard to harden people.

These photos captured something I rarely stop long enough to see — not perfection, not a Pinterest mom, not a woman who has it all together — just a tired mother loving her family with her whole heart.

And maybe that’s the real beauty of motherhood after all. 🤍 ❤️

🌿✨ A Better Way to Care for Your Smile—The Cottage Way ✨🌿

What you put in your mouth matters… just as much as what you put on your skin.

That’s why I’m so excited to bring this into The Secret Cottage—intentional oral care that actually supports your body 🤍

🍊 Nudge Toothpaste is now available in:
• Orange
• Mint
• Watermelon

Alongside a beautifully curated Oral Care Box ✨
👉 Visit thesecretcottagellc.com to see exactly what’s included inside the box

🌿 Please note: The toothpaste, sustainable floss, and purple whitening serum are available individually so you can build your own routine based on what your family needs.

⸻

🌱 Why Nudge Toothpaste?

This is where it truly stands apart…

Instead of fluoride, Nudge uses 10% nano-hydroxyapatite—a mineral your teeth are naturally made of.
(Most brands use much lower concentrations… if they use it at all.)

✨ Reminerizes & Strengthens Enamel
Helps rebuild and fortify teeth by filling in micro-weak spots.

✨ Supports Sensitivity Relief
Addresses the root cause by repairing enamel—not just numbing symptoms.

✨ Non-Toxic & Biocompatible
Safe, gentle, and recognized by the body—making it a beautiful option for the whole family.

✨ Naturally Whitens
Smooths the enamel surface so teeth reflect light better—no harsh bleaching needed.

✨ Supports Oral Microbiome Balance
Encourages a healthy environment in the mouth rather than disrupting it.

⸻

🍊🌿🍉 Flavor Options:
Orange – bright + refreshing
Mint – crisp + classic
Watermelon – soft + family-friendly

⸻

💜 Also available:
• Clean, sustainable floss
• Purple color-correcting teeth whitening serum (instant brightening effect 👀)

⸻

This is oral care the way it should be…
Simple. Intentional. Rooted in nourishment 🌿
