Rainbow Faith - Encouraging Words

Rainbow Faith - Encouraging Words Our quest: to send a ripple of encouragement into the community. Please share. Keep the ripple going. Jesus said, "Encourage one another." (Heb. 3:13)

Rainbow Faith is an encouragement ministry with 100's of online inspirational poems and stories. We strive to minister to the bereaved and others going through "life storms" in a Faith-based manner. Rainbow: A symbol from God as a sign of one of His many promises to us. Faith: The courage to trust in all of His promises, even when times are tuff!

Mission: Rainbow Faith's mission is to encourage and uplift the bereaved with words of inspiration, faith and hope, by gently leading the grieving towards Christ, where true healing begins. (Note: Rainbow Faith is not a LGBT organization, nor a church. We claim use of the Rainbow as described in the scriptures. Encouragement is the heart of our business as we minister to the grieving and others going through temporary "life storms".)

Walking out of Hospice when my Mom passed, the first thing I saw was a beautiful full moon, like a light from Heaven to lead the way. My Dad went 10 months later, under a blue moon, just as brilliant. Several years later my uncle joined them in Heaven under a Super Moon. I love how God lights the sky almost as if to say:
"Welcome Home." ❤️

In uncertain times we have two choices: Be Afraid, or Pray.
Ask God to show you how you can encourage, comfort, or help someone. There is no shortage of those in need. Make God smile by doing the right thing. You can’t put a price on kindness, no matter how small. Be kind in a big way and watch the blessings flow. It will lift up both of you. ❤️

When my granddaughter was about 6 years old, she caught me in my room praying. She asked me what I was doing and I told her I was praying and talking to God. She said adamantly, "Well, I don't want to pray." I was shocked by that and when I asked her why, she replied, "There are a lot of people in the world who pray. What if I start praying and God's already talking to someone else. I really don't want to interrupt God!"

Never feel you are interrupting God. He wants to hear you and He is GOD. Creator of the Universe. He can hear everyone at the same time. If you don't believe that, then your God is too small. He wants to hear the important things in your life and the mundane. He wants communication with you. He wants to do life with you, all of it, every day of it, every moment.

There is no sweeter sound to him than the sound of His children's voice. When is the last time you curled up in the Father's lap? Find a quiet place. He's waiting to hear your voice. He wants everyone to come to Him. Go. Discover that peace that surpasses all human understanding. 🦋

The Last Gift.
Looking back on 2019, we can see the things we did right and sadly, the mistakes we made. Regardless of the mistakes or the reasons behind them, the world didn’t end.

Now at the end of this Christmas season, our last gift 🎁 waits to be opened at midnight on Dec. 31st. It’s a gift from God granting us a New Year. A time of Renewal. A Do-Over if you wish. It’s time to discover God and why He still has you on this planet. It’s time to make amends for old mistakes. It’s time to plan how to spend this next 365 Days (providing you get them all, as none but today are promised). It’s time to make commitments, to do the right things for the right reasons. It’s time to think more of others and what YOU can do to help.

It’s Time: A free gift to be spent wisely, but the easiest thing on the planet to waste. Don’t waste a moment of yours. Although we don’t possess the knowledge of how many of the next 8,760 hours we may be given, we should all have the wisdom to know what to do with them:
Love God. Love others. Help the poor, the sick, the lonely, and the hurting. Make the world a better place. Start with your home, your neighborhood... Equip yourself to be better able to do the things listed here. Pray. Seeks Gods guidance on what He wants you to do.

Open this last gift. Use it wisely, one moment at a time.

Worth repeating again this year. With all my heart, I wish you a Merry Christmas, filled with Hope. ❤️

Worth repeating again this year. With all my heart, I wish you a Merry Christmas, filled with Hope. ❤️

"Merry Christmas". Those beautiful words roll off our tongue repeatedly this time of year, often without really thinking of the true meaning of Christmas. Sadly... many are not "merry" this time of year. With loss of life from natural disasters, weather, crime, suicide, war, and other losses caused by illness, disease or old age... many struggle to understand any reason they should be "merry".

This year, wish a "Merry Christmas" with a kindness in your heart unlike any other time you have spoken these words. We don't know the depth of hurt in someone elses heart. Say a prayer for those who are simply struggling to survive one day at a time. Let's remind one another of the reason for the season. Jesus was born so that we can have hope: Hope that life is eternal. Hope that there is a purpose for us here. Hope that there is a future for us here. Hope that things WILL get better. Jesus truly IS our hope.

During this season, hug more often, smile bigger, spread more joy. This world needs more of that. Volunteer where you can. Help when you can. Love always.

Merry Christmas to you, no matter your situation, for Jesus IS our hope.

"For in you, O Lord, I hope." ~ Psalm 38:15
"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." ~ Jeremiah 29:11

We must find the nearest exit off the Pity Path of the Past and get on with living life in the place, time, and opportunities where God has placed us. Rule 1: He DOES have a plan. Rule 2: It is the BEST plan. Rule 3: He began working this plan at the very beginning of time. Welcome to His World. ❤️

Rainbow Faith - Encouraging Words

"I am only one; but still I am one. I cannot do everything; but still I can do something; and because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do the something that I can do." ~ Edward Everett Hale

Sometimes the only thing we can do is smile, and sometimes even that seems impossible. Whatever you CAN do, do it to the best of your ability. Even if it’s just a smile to someone who really needs one. ❤️

Rainbow Faith is an encouragement Ministry. I have been in this ministry online and through Facebook for almost 20 years. The encouraging words found throughout our pages are eternal and will remain here as long as we are allowed, to continue to encourage you in the days and years ahead. My prayer is that you will continue to find encouragement here.

God has given me a new ministry at this stage of my life and I’m completely dedicated to give it my all just as I have done with Rainbow Faith for those nearly 20 years. You may still find me on Facebook at Caring Hearts Helping Hands, a ministry of helping the homeless. We make sleeping mats from used plastic bags. I do an average of 8-9 workshops a month to show others how this is done and to flatten and cut 100’s of 1,000’s of plastic bags. I also speak to groups throughout my community to get other groups involved in this ministry and I’m amazed at the community response. We have completed over 200 mats in the last 2 years and kept over 140,000 bags out of the landfills. We have touched the hearts of over 200 people with caring, non-judgmental hands, and sharing the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Please pray for this ministry that hearts will be changed and lives changed as a result. Please pray for me and these amazing volunteers as we continue. I will continue to pray for all of you that the encouraging words in these pages will continue to encourage you. You are not alone in your trials. Jesus is with you Always and if you just whisper His name, you immediately have His undivided attention. God bless you. ❤️. ~ Ferna

You can also send me a message through Facebook Messenger to: Ferna Lary Mills Or visit our web page at caringhelping.info and there is a section there where you can send me an email if you wish. I would love to hear how your life has been affected thru Rainbow Faith. ❤️

Prayer is the original wireless communication. Direct, immediate, personal contact to God. No waiting. The moment His name escapes your lips, you have His undivided attention. He is available 24/7. Never a busy signal. All languages are spoken. No interpreter required. Now, have you placed HIM on hold? ❤️

Sometimes life throws punches and we crumble. Other times we get mad and fight back. Neither of those are a perfect response. Before you wage another battle, try turning the fight over to the Lord. Let Him fight the battle for you. If He needs a response from you, He will move you to react. Until then, be silent, stand firm, and be amazed at His presence. His response is perfect. ❤️

Don’t underestimate smiles. A smile may happen in a flash without warning or fanfare. It can be a salve applied to a broken spirit, as encouraging as a kiss applied to an owie. Smile. Then smile some more. Count the ones you get back. Don’t keep them to yourself. You never know who you will meet, thirsting for a smile of encouragement you can freely offer. Smile. Share them freely throughout your day. Bless and be blessed. ❤️
Please comment below with a smile or a .gif of a smile. Share please. 😊

No matter the reason your world has crumbled, no matter what you have done or not done, or even left undone... remember this:
If you trust in Jesus, He will turn the pieces into a Master piece. You are His Masterpiece, and He is not finished yet. ❤️

He who began a good work in you, will be faithful to complete it. ~Philippians 1:6

Prayers of safety for all those in harms way and for the safety of the first responders. Although losing property can be devastating, loss of life is immeasurable to those left behind in their grief. Please join in praying for all those affected by Florence and it’s aftermath. 🙏

God never forgets. He doesn't have to make lists. He knows our design and the task for which we were created. Better yet, he is gentle in nudging us back on track when we stray off the path. God bless you in your tasks as he nudges you along the way. Remember you are at the very top of His proverbial “To-Do” list. ❤️

When you’re seeking answers, be sure you have found the One who understands the questions. He isn’t one to play a childish game of hide and seek. But in the hustle and bustle of today, while you are bombarded with noise, technological distractions, demands on your time, deadlines, shouting crowds or harried schedules... it’s no wonder when you ask “Where is God?” He is present, but you have to seek him in the stillness and in the quiet... with all your heart. Find a quiet place. Close your eyes. Be still. Listen. He’s right there. Inside your heart. ❤️

“You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.” ~Jeremiah 29:13

As summer ends and fall approaches, remember that no matter which season of life you are in, God is with you always. There is nothing you go through, no storm you endure, no place you can land that He is not there with you. He is even graciously working on tomorrow for you before you even arrive. Enter each day with a thankful heart and seek the blessings He has placed there for you. ❤️

Some glitter makes it onto the glue they put on the paper. Some sticks to little fingers. Some clings to their cheek so they sparkle when they smile. Much of it ends up on the floor. BUT, even on the floor, it still sparkles. Be like glitter. Sparkle wherever you are. ❤️

When all is said and done and you take your final breath, it will not matter how much you accumulated in life. It’s all just stuff you end up having to leave behind. What matters is what you scattered along the way. Have you scattered seeds of faith, bits of wisdom, drops of kindness, grains of mercy and forgiveness, and sprinkles of hope? Are you leaving a trail for others to follow that leads to Christ? It’s really not what you gather, but what you scatter that truly matters. ❤️

At first glance this appears to be a female peacock. Upon closer inspection, you can see it is a mother duck whose ducklings are staying so close to her that they appear to be one entity. Maybe we should all practice walking that close with Jesus. ❤️

08/01/2018

The cost of living in the past is paid by spending today. At the end of the day, hours have been spent, nothing has changed, and nothing has been gained. Our today becomes just one more day lost to the past. We can’t live in the future either, as it’s not known or even guaranteed. All that’s left is for us to live in the “now”. Today. We must get busy living life in the place, time, and in opportunities where God places us. Make every “today” matter. Make it matter to God and He will shower you with blessings.

God DOES have a plan. Know it is a GOOD plan. When in doubt, refer to His promise:

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declared the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” ~ Jeremiah 29:11

Times change. Things change. People change. Our circumstances and our terrain change. One thing remains the same. God is the same today as He was the first moment He stepped to the edge of the Universe and whispered your name. He is the same yesterday, today, and always. He is with you regardless of where life finds you at the moment. Feel his closeness to you. He’s with you always. He promises. ❤️

Do you ever ask yourself, “Why am I here?” There is a really great answer to that question. Ponder on this awhile. ❤️

A quote from John Wesley that was written around 300 years ago, yet still just as true today:

"Do all the good you can,
by all the means you can,
in all the ways you can,
in all the places you can,
at all the times you can,
to all the people you can,
as long as ever you can."

Our priorities say a lot about us. Some things can happen that can change priorities at times. For example, having your house catch on fire changes the priority of fixing dinner. Safety first. Right? One priority should never change, regardless of how good or bad your day is going. God should ALWAYS be number One. We should always put Him ahead of everything else or else everything else will take place without Him. That’s a scary thought. ❤️

Sometimes I’m overwhelmed with aggravation. Too many things going the wrong direction, combined with things not going anywhere and other things racing out of my control. You ever feel that way? I guess everyone does at one time or another. This week has been a bear for me and it’s barely half way through. As my aggravation reached a 10 on the stress scale, this song began to stream through my head. I recalled the words and the story behind who, why and when it was written. Through tear filled eyes I remembered that only Jesus offers us peace that passes all human understanding. Only He provides our strength to make it through the tuff times. Only He remains with us always and through all things. He promises. With His peace, His strength and His presence, we can all go through tough times with this song in our heart.

It IS well with my soul. ❤️

Being happy is a choice. We can choose to let life put a frown on our face, or we can choose to look at our troubles from an "eternity scale". From now till the end of eternity, how bad was today? Really. Make a choice to be happy. Spread smiles wherever you go. They are contagious.
Pass it on. ❤️

God, creator of all things, has every resource in the Universe at His command. He sees everything in one eternal instant from beginning to end. He knows all there is to know. Now, because He has all knowledge, time, and resources in HIS hands, we can let go with our feeble fingers and let Him have full control. In the words of Mother Teresa: “Prayer is putting oneself in the hands of God.”

Isn’t that where you want to be?❤️

07/04/2018

Today, we celebrate our independence and our freedom. Whether you gather together with friends and family, or just spend the day reflecting on what all the celebrations represent, take a moment to really count ALL of your blessings.

Remember the courage of regular people who believed so strongly in the cause of freedom that they fought and died in our place, so we can be free. They paid the ultimate price... for us.

As you reflect on this, remember the cross. Remember that Jesus Christ paid the ultimate price for you. He so believed in you that He paid the penalty of your sins on the cross for you. Why? So if you so believe in Him and put your faith and trust in Him, you have freedom from the chains of sin and are promised everlasting life.

There is no greater freedom than this. There is no greater love than this.
(John 15:13)

Colonists went into a battle with weapons, fighting to the death for our freedom to become Americans.

Jesus went willingly to the cross for you, without a fight, without an argument, to save you... because He loved you. Before he was arrested and crucified, he went into the garden, and fervently fought for you in prayer.
(John 17:20-21)

If you are an American, you celebrate your Independence today. If you are a believer and follower of Christ, you can celebrate true Independence for all eternity.

Find the time to dust off an old Bible, or install a Bible app on your phone, or search the Internet. But find and read John, Chapter 3, and get the full picture of how much Jesus truly loves you.

Celebrate the risen Christ.❤️
