Why can one ugly comment overpower ten generous ones?

Why can one missed workout suddenly feel more important than three consistent months?

Negative information often receives more attention and weight than comparable positive information. That tendency is commonly called negativity bias.

The answer is not to pretend nothing went wrong. Peak performance requires honest evaluation. But honest evaluation includes all of the evidence—not only the worst piece.

After your next race or difficult session, write down:

1. One thing that went wrong
2. Three things that went right
3. One adjustment you can actually use

That is not positive-thinking fluff. It is a more complete performance review.

What good evidence has your brain been quietly deleting?

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP FINISH — NEXT STOP, KONA!

Amy Hutchison crossed the line at the IRONMAN Triathlon 70.3 World Championship in Nice in 6:28:58! 🇫🇷

Nice delivered everything a World Championship should — a beautiful Mediterranean setting paired with a tough, technical course and an international field.

But Amy’s season isn’t finished yet.

Next weekend she takes on the IRONMAN World Championship in Kona. 🌺

Two World Championships. Two legendary courses.

Congratulations on Nice, Amy — now it’s time for KONA! Rebecca McKee

Jerry Nemeth had a GREAT day at IRONMAN Triathlon 70.3 Washington, racing his way to a 5:14:39 finish!

Set in Washington’s Tri-Cities, this course serves up plenty of speed — but also an exposed, rolling bike where patience early can pay off big when it’s time to run.

And Jerry came ready to race.

This guy has been WORKING. He’s committed, he asks questions, he wants to learn, and most importantly — he’s excited about what he’s building.

That’s one of the best parts of coaching: when an athlete can actually feel the work starting to click.

Great racing, Jerry! Rebecca McKee

Three Peaksters, one Equinox Marathon Marathon, and a whole lot of Ester Dome.

This photo brings Nick Janssen together with Trent Hubbard and Coach Christopher Osiensky, who also took on the Equinox this year. Today, the spotlight is on Nick and his smokin’ 3:39:56, 3rd place finish in the men’s 40–49 age group!

Equinox has a way of keeping runners honest. Around mile 17, the course sends them down the “Chute,” a steep, rocky descent where tired legs still have to be quick and precise. Nick came through it all with an age group podium finish.

We love seeing our athletes share the work, the race, and the moment afterward. Congratulations, Nick! Christopher Osiensky Rebecca McKee
