Have you ever walked away from a disagreement and wondered why the conversation became so much bigger than it needed to be?
Sometimes, we get caught up in proving our point. We want the other person to understand why we're right, and before we know it, we've stopped trying to understand them.
But two people can experience the same situation very differently.
You can stand by what you believe while still being curious about someone else's perspective.
And sometimes, a conversation can end without anyone changing their mind.
That doesn't mean it was a waste of time.
Understanding each other is valuable, even when we don't agree.
