How to live to 100+ by eating healthy?
Follow the Eplerian Life Philosophy nutritional lifestyle:
“Eat the right foods in the right amount at the right time prepared in a healthy manner.”
1. The right foods are foods with no added sugar, no added salt, and no processed foods.
2. The right amount is small and decreases with each decade. It’s “energy full” which means eating 80% of the feeling of being full.
3. The right time is traditionally three small meals each day with non-inflammatory snacks if needed. Eating one large meal will result in weight gain as this is too much for the energy needs, and the excess is metabolized into fat.
4. Prepared in a healthy manner means eating foods in their natural state, steamed, or low to medium heat with no charred or fried foods.
Finally, think from your “belly brain” for nutritional advice. It’s the gut and has thinking neurons capable of making the right food choices. Listen for the right foods and the right amount. Do not let the head brain overrule the belly choices. The belly says no to a pile of fried clams, fried onion rings, and a hot fudge sundae, and the head says yes. Be strong, listen to the belly brain!
