Break an unwanted social health habit with the rule of three.

Week one: Choose one undesirable social habit, choose a keyword for the habit, and determine the situation where the bad habit is used most often. Say the keyword to yourself to stop the habit. Repeat the key trigger word all day for one week for the selected situation.

Week two: Expand using the keyword in all situations.

Week three: Continue doing the new habit until you’re doing the new habit without thinking about it.

Remember phase 4. The unwanted habit is still there and may never go away. You need to use the keyword for months and maybe years to continually expand the time between old habit episodes so the unwanted habit pathway will weaken and disappear.

Talking and listening are equally bound together. What you say affects what the other person hears, and what you hear affects what the other person says. For example, speaking is related to pace, pitch, and volume, determining how the other person listens. Go too fast for some people, and they won’t hear what you’re talking about. Most commonly, there’s 80% talk and 20% listening. For healthy communication, talk and listen in balance equally with 50% talking and 50% listening.

Effective listening can increase productivity, creativity, and create positive relationships. Listen from your heart with kindness. Listen in the mind for helping others. Be your true, authentic self for healthy and productive communication.

Are you a Phone Zombie?

The phone is in your hand at all times
Your head is down (Head down weak / Head up strong)
Your mouth is open looking like a zombie
Your eyes are dead like a zombie

Keep the phone out of sight. Keep the phone out of sight talking with family, friends, coworkers, and in public. Keep the phone out of sight in restaurants. Keep the phone out of sight at schools and universities. Keep the phone in the locker at your workout facility.

Cell phone use is rude. Cell phone use is a social weakness. Cell phone use destroys talking and listening in conversations. Cell phone use is distracting when other people are talking, listening, or concentrating. Cell phone use takes away people’s enjoyment and can generate an anger response.

Keep your cell phone out of sight allowing you to engage in life moment by moment. Life is extraordinary, savor and enjoy. Engage in life with high energy, innovation, enjoyment, positive experiences, and wonderful friends.

Master your self-control for success.

Apply the principle of the Eplerian Life Philosophy by knowing where you’re thinking from. Avoid primitive brain thinking, and think from your heart and the mind, which is outside the brain.

Self-control is the ability to manage our emotional response and behavior to impulses, temptations, and difficult situations.

Successful self-control is learning to think from the heart with kindness to yourself and others, and thinking from the mind, which is outside the brain, with creativity to solve problems and help people.

Avoid primitive brain selfish thinking. Thinking from the primitive brain results in unhealthy and rude behavior. Think from the heart with kindness and the mind with creativity. This is human thinking. This is being your true authentic self. Thrive in your uniqueness.

Think like a human from your heart with kindness and the mind to help others. Don’t think like a non-human from the primitive brain with anger and stress. Primitive brain thinking is about yourself. Human thinking is about everyone else.

The primitive brain is needed during infancy, but after that, thinking from this primitive brain with self-centered thoughts causes anger and stress. Primitive thinking destroys close personal relationships. Think from the heart with kindness with no thoughts about yourself for long-lasting close relationships.

Here’s what I would like to have you do. Look around and observe primitive brain behavior, don’t say anything, but you stop doing this behavior, or feel good about yourself because you don’t do this behavior. If everyone stops primitive brain thinking, then we will be living an extraordinary life in a global civilization of kindness.

How to live to 100+ by eating healthy?

Follow the Eplerian Life Philosophy nutritional lifestyle:

“Eat the right foods in the right amount at the right time prepared in a healthy manner.”

1. The right foods are foods with no added sugar, no added salt, and no processed foods.
2. The right amount is small and decreases with each decade. It’s “energy full” which means eating 80% of the feeling of being full.
3. The right time is traditionally three small meals each day with non-inflammatory snacks if needed. Eating one large meal will result in weight gain as this is too much for the energy needs, and the excess is metabolized into fat.
4. Prepared in a healthy manner means eating foods in their natural state, steamed, or low to medium heat with no charred or fried foods.

Finally, think from your “belly brain” for nutritional advice. It’s the gut and has thinking neurons capable of making the right food choices. Listen for the right foods and the right amount. Do not let the head brain overrule the belly choices. The belly says no to a pile of fried clams, fried onion rings, and a hot fudge sundae, and the head says yes. Be strong, listen to the belly brain!

What can you do to improve society?

Think from your heart with kindness. The single best way to improve our society and the world is for every person, all 8 billion, to be their true authentic self by thinking from the heart with kindness and thinking from the mind with creativity to help each other.

How can you be your true authentic self?

Know where you’re thinking from moment by moment. Stop thinking from the selfish head. Eliminate all thoughts about yourself. These are unnecessary and harmful thoughts from the primitive brain region causing stress.

Instead of self-centered thoughts, be your true authentic self by thinking from your heart with kindness and giving; and think from the mind with creativity to solve problems and help others.

Be your true self.
Here’s the way people live their lives who are their true selves:

They think from their heart:
1. They’re kind to themselves. They love themselves. They’re kind to others.
2. They give from the heart, expecting nothing in return.
3. They’re grateful and content with what they have in the moment.
4. They appreciate what’s given to them.
5. They have empathy from their heart, considering other people’s situation.

They think from the mind, which is the universe outside the body that contains all knowledge and information:
1. Creativity to solve problems and help others.
2. Innovation to develop new ways of doing things, new products, and build new companies.
3. Courage to be their true selves at all times overcoming transient negative consequences.
4. Inspiration to improve society.
5. Thriving on their uniqueness to make the world a better place.
