Great effort for Skyview Cross Country boys and girls teams today at Districts!
We are in a strong conference, and we love the great competition. Excited that got the girls team through to regionals, and Huckleberry and Jordan made it too.
We have a lot of youth in our teams, and I’ve enjoyed watching these runners challenge themselves to become better. There’s still a lot of work to do. Let’s see how many runners we can get to state!

A common issue with lower back issues and poor Running form is a relative weakness of the hamstring muscle group compared to the overused quads and hip flexors.

One simple way to help correct this is to do some standing hamstring curls with some ankle weights. 2 to 3 sets of 20 or so should really get them going.

The hamstrings are very important muscle groups for Running and helps set the pelvis in a good position so the center of your body is aligned the way we need to be.

Give it a try and tell me what you think.

It’s all about frequency…we all vibrate depending on our brainwaves, and I aim to show these kids that I coach that positivity and a self image of a champion is important to radiate.

Just getting last week’s footage out…
Great race for Skyview Cross Country last week Tuesday at Whipple Creek. A tough hilly course right in our backyard.

When we’re injured and sidelined from doing the fun activities we’d love to do, that frustration of not being able to do those things is actually what prompts us to take action on making our situations better.

An importance energetic concept that I’ve learned is how to transmute energy that is seemingly negative such as frustration, and turn that into something that is productive and creates the change you desire.

Too many of us have an immunity to change; we are too entrenched in our old habits, such as running all the time without warming up or eating, terrible food that is not healing, and we don’t change.

If you want things in your life to change, you need to change things in your life.

Pretty simple, but often not easily done.

So get mad! Get disgusted! Those things will spur you on to take on the things that are holding you back because it hurts more to stay the same than it does to change.

Successful people are always busy doing what unsuccessful people say that they’re going to be doing.

I have fallen into this trap in recent years, but now I’m waking up to the fact that I have been making excuses way too many times.

From now on, I will be more focused on action than just talking about it.

I’ve seriously have changed so profoundly for the better in these last few days, and I’m happy to share what I really am and reveal if you’re ready how much greatness there is inside of you

So grateful for everything in my life. We have everything we need. I’m starting to wake up to what “I” am and what we really are, and it’s so beautiful and beyond words. I have so much to teach and share; I’m excited to open up and give wholly and completely in this life.

Skyview Cross Country had a good chance tonight to get some race experience and training against Camas today.
I’m really happy when I see people get excited about getting a PR, which we had many today.
This team has so much inside of each runner…looking forward to seeing what comes out as we get into October. Thanks Camas HS for an awesome meet! You were great hosts.

Had a great time at the Skyview track this morning to get in some miles for our Skyview Cross Country fundraiser!
Our goal was to get to 100 miles and we got to 137!
So many runners did at least 10 miles, including Zeke who did 17 miles and Tim who got a whopping 25!
We had fun just hanging out, playing frisbee and getting some snacks. It’s been great to see some of these newer runners and their live of the sport.
