Dear Hoda,

I think I can speak for all parents when I say that our biggest hope is that our children grow up to be kind, that they have empathy for other others and that they can see the little moments of joy that happen all around us each day. This is why I created Sunshine and Agape in 2025. I wanted to create parenting tools and hacks for raising well connected and grateful children; without adding more to our plate.

A new friend, Sara Press told me that sometimes in life we have to “shoot our shot”..so here I am, showing my girls how to do something scary and make this video for you.

We love what you’re doing with Joy 101 for adults and know that a collaboration between our two companies could be just what we need to help shape our future, which are our children 🩷

It’s time for our weekly joy post!!! I missed last week as I was helping my mom recover from her knee replacement surgery and well, life got in the way 🤪 she’s doing awesome I’m happy to report.

What brought you joy this week?!? Something small but powerful maybe?



The girls wanted to stop at 5 Below to see if new dumplings had dropped, and they had! They were sooo excited! Their joy is my joy 🩷 we even bought one for a friend and they LOVED being able to bring her joy!

VOLUME ON! I was thinking about our random joy drop off from a few weeks ago and wanted to share. I pick random days we drop doughnuts off for their friends and coffee for the moms. It brings all parties so much joy… giving and receiving!

Picture day! Zoe told me the curls I did on her hair were “on point!”… big win for me, ha! And Mia so beautiful 😻

While staying at my Moms last week I had a lot of joys. Spending lots of time with her, getting caught up on all the news 🤪, getting some rest in (I mean when she napped I deserved to as well, right?!?) the beautiful flowers and gifts her friends dropped by, friends that took our girls out for activities and so much more 🩷

Random kindness this week 🩷 a new neighbor Ferny Fleur dropped off flowers to us, so beautiful! And a random person at the Fair I did yesterday gave me this card after checking out my booth and our mission

Of course, my pups snuggling always give me joy. While getting my nails done, Maya’s Mani Magic ♡ DM(V) Nail Artist brought in her pup Dolce. I looked over at one point and there he was looking so freaking adorable. We both smiled and laughed!

Yesterday I was at the Lovettsville Oktoberfest and the girls came with me. They were so helpful in setting up and taking down. In addition, at the end of the day they said “mommy you did so well today, we are proud of you🩷” also, I love my tent and colors. So much joy in all of it .

I hope everyone had an awesome week and is gearing up for another one!!!



Tuesday was Ryan and I’s 13th wedding anniversary and while we didn’t have some extravagant getaway or fancy dinner we were able to get a couple moments alone this week whether for a workout together or grabbing a quick drink and finding a new sofa 🤪 I can’t imagine doing life without this man.🩷🥹 Ryan Mroz

Ok, I cut a s**g haircut with bangs in late March and while I loved it, I have decided to grow out the bangs and the length of my hair. I felt like it was in kind of an awkward stage of growing and life’s too short to not love your hair ha ha. So I had a little bit of length added in hair extensions and to help out with the growing out phase. I heart my hair. And my point is, do what you want to find joy. Get the Botox. Cut the hair. Add the hair. Dance in the middle of the grocery store if it’s a good song. You get my point…life short. Just do what makes you happy!

I took Mia and her friend on a little outing this morning and was looking through my pictures and found this gem of her that she took. She’s just too darn cute.🥰

Our vet offered for any clients to come to the pool today before it closes for the dogs to go on a swim. While they did not enjoy the water, they enjoyed running around like crazy animals. I loved seeing their joy and I also loved all the napping that occurred after 😝

Our favorite w**e shop in town let Tracy on her birthday, saber a ch*****ne bottle. She did awesome and it was so fun to see the joy on her face.

On Monday, we closed out the summer by spending all day with friends at the pool. The weather was perfect, but the company was even better. See you next summer pool!

I am so lucky that Ryan does all of the grocery shopping and cooking. Today, after looking for sofas, he made me come along. I just stood there aimlessly, walking around the aisles, obviously unclear what we need and he just dominated this grocery store. He walks down every single aisle and while I prefer showing up with a list at a grocery store he likes to see eve

7 joys from this week…what’s you joy from this week!

Joy can be found everywhere, especially in the little moments. At the end of each day, I always like to reflect back and find something that made me smile. I challenge you this week to look every day for the amazing things that happen all around us.



Our amazing friends threw a 45 birthday HH on Monday. It was so much fun and a great way to kick off the week. We love you E & T!

No more braces for Zoe! She looks immediately so much more grown-up. She also was selected as one of the four kindergarten patrol officers at her school. She is so excited to help the youngest ones get around before and after school to their bus.

My nails by Maya, always bring me joy. I went with something a little bit more fierce although the pointy gems on my two fingers are like death traps. I have already scratched my eye and my forehead with them accidentally ha ha what we do for beauty and 🤩

My Grandmother turned 100 years old on Friday. 100 years, let that sink in. We took her out to breakfast and got her nails done and spent time with her. She looks freaking amazing. She also wanted to go shopping for Makeup after breakfast, which made me laugh for some reason. But you go girl, we picked her out a fierce pink lipstick that she wanted.

I just love this friendship that Zoe has with Clara. She’s so accepting of Mia always wanting to hang with them and they are just so kind and supportive.

I told you, every week there will probably be a picture of the dogs! Look at these two snuggling yesterday, always touching somehow.

OK, yes. Mia will kill me for this. But sometimes she wants to sleep with me and we let her. I love the snuggles and seeing her beautiful little face fast asleep. I just want to hold onto these moments for as long as I can.

Starting something new! Each Sunday I will post 7 things that brought me joy this week.

1. My baby turned 10, wow…double digits now
2. Girls started first day of school, 2nd and 5th with killer outfits and hair
3. Zoe and I had a 1:1 date and made custom mini Kurt Geiger purses, so fun!
4. My dogs will show up every week. Just letting yall know that now 😘
5. The most delish salad at Mendocino Farms. Their peach goat cheese salad is 💯
6. My mom is galavanting across the country right now with friends. I love seeing the joy it brings her.
7. Worked out a fair amount this week and finished the week with a 45 min peloton run by the one and only Kirsten Ferguson. She’s the only one I run with, the best! She brings me joy and I’m proud of myself for showing up!
