Driftless Naturalist LLC Connecting people to nature where they live, work and play!

Working as an environmental educator and interpretive naturalist for nearly 30 years, I am excited to be able to bring a variety of naturalist-based services into local communities. My areas of focus include Nature and Forest Therapy experiences, environmental education, natural and cultural history research and interpretation, and habitat restoration services.

The nature trail project at Good Earth Village is coming along! We are installing interpretive signs for youth and families who visit the site to learn about nature and we are adding a trailhead kiosk to welcome visitors and provide site information and natural history snapshots of the valley.

Report a dead or injured bird in under 2 minutes: dBird provides a way to report incidents of dead and injured birds, helping to contextualize and guide conservation and advocacy efforts that aim to reduce human-caused hazards to birds.

Help researchers understand the causes of bird mortality by reporting dead and injured birds through our crowd-sourced data collection tool and database.

A forest. A bake sale. A handful of people who refused to give up on a place they loved.

Almost 75 years ago, a small group of citizens pooled their bake sale earnings and life insurance policies to save a 60-acre forest in New York. Today, The Nature Conservancy works in 83 countries and territories, and we've helped protect more than 125 million acres of land and 2.3 billion acres of ocean.

But this story isn't finished. Climate change and biodiversity loss are reshaping our world, and the need for action has never been greater. Much will change over the next 75 years, but one thing will remain the same: lasting conservation is built through people, partnerships and a shared commitment to the world that sustains us.
