This past weekend we had an absolutely incredible day, our very first Spay & Neuter Clinic!!
Our amazing doctors and veterinary technicians at the Bergen County Veterinary Center graciously donated their day to our rescue pups, performing a total of 18 spays and neuters on our dogs! Not only was it much needed for us as all our vets have been so busy since the pandemic, finding it hard for us to fit all of our dogs in for surgeries, it was fun and such an incredible teaching/learning experience for many!
We are so lucky to have so many people that love and support our mission and our pups. We literally could not do this without all of you. Feeling beyond grateful💗

He was found near Pulis Ave last night in Mahwah by a team member and was brought to the facility today for a day of fun and some time at our doggie spa while we try to locate his owners! He does not have a micro chip and we believe him to be about 8-9 years old!

BCVC has been blessed with the presence of this old man, Buster, through Real Dog Rescue. He has been staying with us for about a week and each and every one of us has fallen in love with him. He is 12.5 years old and full of love. Despite his hind legs being very weak Buster manages to run and play and hasn’t met anyone; dog, cat or human who he doesn’t love❤️ We will miss him dearly when he goes to his forever family.

Today we had to say goodbye to one of our family members... Julio... the handsome green bird who drove many of us crazy but ultimately made all of us love and adore him. Julio was just over a year old and taken way too soon. He flew where he wanted, when he wanted, rubber was by far his favorite chew toy, and whistling “Charge” became his anthem. There will never be another like Julio but there is no question there will be other birds to join the BCVC family...Julio made sure to open that door in each and every one of our hearts. Fly free now Jules and know that although you left a big hole in our hearts you also filled it with love; love that will be everlasting.
