When your patient has “seen 15 Physicians and no one else has thought to look at that”

And we found it. And then we can do interventions that are most specific to the rootiest of root problems ❤️

Comment TEST for link to other labs you should consider with your healthcare team

Because most of the time low ferritin is not an iron intake or blood loss issue when the CBC and other iron panel markers are normal.

Don’t ferritin is a problem - don’t misconstrue what I’m trying to say. I’m just shining light on the fact that most don’t need more iron. In fact too much iron leads to iron overload and I’ve seen that 15 times in the past two months - where providers kept giving their patient more iron supplements or infusions and the patients serum iron or saturation was actually too high! Iron overload can be dangerous!

Do not blindly take iron unless you know the full picture as it has the potential to cause a lot of harm if it’s not exactly what you need. Most providers are not being thorough enough in their evaluation before making the recommendation to start iron.

Stay safe out there ❤️

I’ve seen over 15 iodine deficiencies (bloodwork) in the past month!

Now I know someone is gonna say “correlation doesn’t equal causation.” Right - but I’m not turn a blind eye to observable data either. I’m also not saying all iodine deficiency is caused by this but it’s a cook in the kitchen.

Yes, iodine deficiency can also happen from inadequate intake among other things. But let’s stop acting like it’s so safe in most zip codes to be consuming tap water year after year decade after decade - when most are loaded with known endocrine disruptors, carcinogens etc. I’m not a fan of waiting until the worst possible health scenario to start making recommendations. Let’s be proactive as possible 👏🏼

-it doesn’t hurt to screen for iodine deficiencies given the widespread presence of these contaminants in drinking water.
-it doesn’t hurt to start aggressively filtering your water from known health contaminants when you eat a mineral rich diet
-it doesn’t hurt to start using a shower head filter so you reduce dermal exposure

Yes, “more studies are needed.” Agreed. Always. But when the intervention is extremely low risk very high reward - how much more evidence to you need to want to support normal physiology and “giving the body what it needs and taking out what it doesn’t?” - my podcast tagline.

Interested? Comment iodine and I’ll send you the link to self order this lab to get drawn at any quest labs w/o doctors order (results emailed to you) link to check your zip code’s levels, and link to affordable countertop RO system.

I see iodine deficiencies all the time now that I have started checking for them when patients have symptoms. Symptoms include:

• unintentional weight gain
• goiter
• cold intolerance
• hair loss
• bradycardia
• depression
• constipation
• history of miscarriages
• fatigue

Comment WATER 💦 for link to see what is in your zip code 🤢 and link to the affordable RO countertop system I use that has a remineralizer…and it is ON SALE!

*I anticipate someone saying “but reverse osmosis is bad for you as it remove minerals.”

Yes - but there is objectively not many minerals in drinking water to begin with, we can get plenty from food if we eat mineral rich foods, we can supplement too and add minerals to drinks. Outside of distilling, reverse osmosis IS the best option to remove carcinogens, obesogens, neurotoxins, radioactive materials etc.

It is MUCH more important to remove a continuous source of serious health deterrents than it is to worry about a few mg of minerals being removed. It’s a very flawed argument to say keep drinking tap water or fridge filtered water for the sake of keeping minerals but then simultaneously still drinking literal trash, unsafe contaminants.

Filter your water like your life depends on it because it kinda does. That’s not fear mongering but a reality that needs faced. Unless city and well water become effectively and systemically addressed throughout the country, thee path forward is aggressive water filtration via RO or distilled. Period. At least at your home!

I’ll still drink water at restaurants or while traveling but made my home a safe haven so that the bulk of what we consume is adding to our health, not taking away from it ❤️❤️

Everyone is out there preaching you need this, you need that, buy this greens powder, buy this vibrating plate. Most of it is fringe. Not bad but fringe.

Invest in safe air and safe water above all. It is the most foundational thing and it is high consumption. You won’t consume more of anything else in your life.

Get your air and your water on lockdown 😘🤌🏽🫶🏻🩵

Ugh - colonization offputting mycotoxins into the system continuously even after you left….

As the only Shoemaker proficiency partner (but also Jill Crista trained) in the USA who takes insurance, I have a very large volume of patients I see for mold caused or exacerbated health problems. I’ve also personally been sick from mold and actinobacteria so I “get it”

THIS test gets missed all the time by practitioners…(insert “it’s prob just allergies”)

And mold gets down played all the time by people as a potential driver of their health problems. (I was in mold illness denial years ago and it got my family no where until we faced reality and the evidence and I got trained after personally falling through every crack in conventional care)

So I want to help people figure it out sooner than I did and forgo as much hardship as possible. That first starts with acceptance and a willingness to gather data and then do appropriate interventions

as years have passed, I’ve heard every mold illness denial phrase in the book. (And I get it to some extent it’s hard to come to terms with for many reasons)

But here are some common mold illness denial phrases (that keep people stuck with problems):

“But I was exposed so long ago”

“But only XYZ type of mold can make you sick”

“But I live in a new home”

“But I live in an old well built home”

“But we live in a dry climate”

“But I would see or smell (invisible, non scented) mycotoxins”

“But I had a home inspection”

NONE of these (incorrect) logical fallacies compete with data and reality.

It’s objective testing to consider if you health problems. Don’t miss this piece of your health puzzle

*I have zero financial ties to Microbiology Dx (makers of the MARCoNS/fungal intranasal testing)

Comment TEST for info on data you need about your environment that impacts your health

Most things are not idiopathic or random - most people have not evaluated their indoor living space well. But you can moving forward ❤️
