Our riders had some fun dressing up their horses and then going trick or treating on horseback in our lesson plan this week. The riders were so creative, and the horses looked spectacular!

Happy Halloween from Everwild! 🎃 👻

October is National Physical Therapy Month!

Here at Everwild, physical therapy is one of the many ways we help individuals grow, connect, and thrive. This month, we want to give a special shoutout to our incredible physical therapist and co-founder, Olivia Steiner!

Olivia brings so much more than her clinical expertise to Everwild. She has a natural ability to connect with people of all ages and abilities, helping them feel comfortable, confident, and supported. Through creativity, play, movement, and meaningful connections with our horses, she makes working toward therapeutic goals engaging and fun.

One of the things we admire most about Olivia is her curiosity and commitment to lifelong learning. She’s never afraid to ask questions, explore new ideas, or learn from those around her. Her open-minded approach, combined with her appreciation for play and recreation, emotional well-being, and finding joy in movement, makes her such a thoughtful and well-rounded therapist and instructor.

We’re so lucky and grateful to have Olivia as part of the Everwild team!

Horse Spotlight of the Week: Dakota ⭐️

With his kind eyes, sweet personality, and a little pep in his step, Dakota is a true gentleman! He loves soaking up attention, especially when it comes to brushing and extra love.

What makes Dakota so special is his ability to connect with his riders. He’s incredibly attentive and expressive, helping riders learn to tune into him just as he tunes into them. This sweet little guy always understands the assignment, and we’re so grateful to have him as part of Everwild!

Horse Spotlight of the Week: Wyatt ⭐️

Meet Wyatt, a handsome bay with an old soul and a youthful spirit. While he may have plenty of wisdom under his belt, his playful curiosity keeps him young at heart.

Wyatt is gentle, steady, and attentive, always taking care of his people while happily soaking up a little attention in return.

We’re so grateful to have Wyatt as part of our program. He’s a very special boy and an absolute joy to have on the Everwild team.

Horse Spotlight of the Week: Huckleberry ⭐️

That smile isn’t even photoshop, this is truly how much of a ham Mr. Huck is!

Huckleberry is without a doubt the most vibrant horse in the program. His outgoing personality makes him so easy to connect with and has a way of bringing individuals out of their shell.

Whether you’re the lucky client getting to ride him or the volunteer getting to lead him, everybody is enamored with this dependable and lovable horse.

We’re so fortunate to have him as part of our program!

One year ago…Everwild began as an LLC with a big dream: to empower growth and connection through the transformative power of the horse and holistic wellness.

One year later, we’re officially a nonprofit, and we’re just getting started!

In our first year, we:
-Served 18 clients at two different locations
-Transitioned from an LLC into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit
-Welcomed 12 amazing volunteers
-Worked with 17 incredible horses
-Hosted a very special birthday party
-Held 3 community outreach events, including one with our local veterans
-Hosted our first Adaptive Horsemanship Show & Fundraiser
-Launched a pilot Caregiver Wellness Program

It’s been an exciting year, but we’re even more excited to share where we go from here.

In the coming years, we hope to:
-Expand our existing programs to serve more individuals and families
-Officially launch Operation Stable Ground, a program to serve veterans and their families
-Grow our PT & OT services and the clinical side of our programs
-Develop our horse rescue and rehabilitation efforts, creating a place where horses in need can find safety, healing, and a second chance
-Have our own facility dedicated to providing Everwild services
-Continue building wellness programs that support not only participants, but their families and caregivers too

None of this happens without our community.
To our two amazing barn partners, Seoul Creek Farm & Twilight Farm, and to every client, family, volunteer, horse, donor, supporter, and community partner who has helped bring Everwild to life: thank you for believing in the vision, showing up, and growing alongside us. 💚💜💙

Cheers to one year!

Horse Spotlight of the Week: Onyx ⭐️

Onyx has the most try out of any of our horses in the program. This horse is a master in resiliency. He teaches those coming to heal with Everwild, that the present moment is a much better place to be than the past.

He’s also a beautiful reminder that to connect and find moments of peace with a horse, that you don’t have to ride, you just have to show up.

We’re so grateful to have this sweet black beauty on our team!
