I love that this graduate from the UI College of Dentistry created little works of art from the plaster models she no longer needed. She could have just pitched them in the trash. Instead she painted Hawaiian themed scenes to leave behind as she left Iowa for her new life practicing dentistry in Hawaii.

One Woman. One Torch. 30 Years. Still Going Strong.

Actually, I’ve had wonderful help along the way. My husband, Warren Hanlin, has helped create a wonderful space for Dental Arts and is supportive in countless ways. And, I’ve had a few talented women contribute in the creation of crowns over the years...notably, Cindy Darling.

I’m blessed to have talented dentists to work with. I will continue creating classic gold and porcelain-fused-to-gold crowns for as long as there are dentists and patients who value the art and science of this traditional process.
