Our ACCP and SVSHP chapters collaborated with CVS Target to provide the community with Smoking Cessation Counseling and Blood Pressure Screenings. Special thanks to all the student who volunteered their time to make this event a successful one and to the hardworking Fairfax Community Wellness Chairs, Frank Nyanin and Mae Chen, for coordinating this event.
SU-ACCP had a successful mock OSCE turnout at both Winchester and Fairfax campus! P1s practiced communication skills, patients counseling and interview, as well as physical assessment skills.
Special thanks to our Mock OSCE Chairs (Frank Nyanin, Mae Chen, Brittany Tyree, and Elizabeth Beramendi), ACCP members, and the student volunteers who helped out with this event!

Thank you everyone who attended DC-CCP advocacy day yesterday and made it the largest advocacy day yet! ACCP's national lobbyist John McGlew, along with Dr. Pham and Dr. Peters were all very impressed with our large turnout. Thank you Tony and Jess for your hard work putting together the event!
Today has been busy and productive for our members of ACCP! We held a blood drive in collaboration with VA Blood Services here on the Winchester Campus, while some student members advocated for our profession out on Capitol Hill. We were able to donate EIGHTEEN liters of blood!!! Huge thanks to our Blood Drive Chair, Connor McKay for arranging this great day with VA Blood Services and to all the amazing individuals willing to make the donation. Stay tuned for pictures and an update on how our advocacy day went.
ALSO! Don't forget that April is Donate Life Month. Registering to be a organ donor is simpler than ever and can help save lives. We will be working with LifeNet Health the week of April 23rd to help register anyone interested!

Hello everyone! SU-ACCP/D.C.-CCP will be hosting a Residency Roundtable tomorrow from 5PM-6PM. Everyone is welcome to join us! We'll also be streaming from FB live if you cannot attend in person. We will have three residents from Valley Health, Dr. Nichelle Logan, Dr. Molly Rincavage, and Dr. David Parker (SU Alumnus '17), speak about their residency experience and go into depth on the different types of PGY1s/PGY2s out there. Yesterday our student chapter collaborated with CVS to provide the community with Smoking Cessation Counseling and Blood Pressure Screenings. Remember your local pharmacist is always here to help with any advice on smoking cessation, or questions and concerns regarding your blood pressure.

SU-ACCP had a successful day at Apple Blossom's Wellness Festival! This year we educated the community about medication adherence and signed up people as organ donors for Donate Life. We'd like to thank our Health Fair Chair, Cody Bottenfield, for all his hard work putting our poster together and to all our members who helped lead the booths.
