I voted this weekend!🗳️ (and I’m obsessed with the sticker 😍)

Hubby and I took the time to research all the candidates on our ballot and make the choice of who we felt would represent our values well. It came down to specificity in what they stood for. We are not fans of a blind one-party ballot submission and we don’t like the fluff of candidates who just use the buzz words of the important matters. The midterms are local first, so how will you advance the district WE live in?

It’s a small moment that carries a lot of weight and I believe different views working together creates a better democracy and bridges the gap of understanding.

Well y’all, NY was everythingg and more. Every day was top-tier and I surprised myself in so many ways: I was able to confidently walk to various places in New York by myself 👏🏽, I saw an excellent Broadway show 🎭, I met amazing handcrafted entrepreneurs at different stages of their journey who all inspired me, I learned integral information from a luxury brand that left my heart full 😍, and I fully embraced that I was supposed to be there, I left imposter syndrome at the door!

The word that sums up my entire New York trip is: Clearer. When God told me years ago that Perennial Peaces would be big, I was afraid to share that with people. I thought about how vulnerable that made me and how foolish I would look if it never happened. Truthfully I’m still afraid to share it. The difference now is I do it anyway.

Though I knew it was possible, until this weekend, I could not fathom how I could scale a handcrafted jewelry business. My mind simply had not attained that high-level thinking. Well, God decided to clear the fog a little bit for me, and that’s just how He works. He shows us the promised land and that’s it 😂. We have to demonstrate faith and keep enduring bit by bit. Along the way things become clearer.

If you think back to any time you received more clarity from God, you’re usually a different version of yourself that can now handle it. It’s quite amazing and very much a part of His divine plan. So take the pressure off! Have fun while you chase your dreams! And watch the beauty of the journey captivate you and all involved 🙌🏽. Huuuuuggggeeeee shout out to Nest Nest and the NDAs that I have to abide to 🤣

The fact that I can say “I’m here for business” is nothing but God. Perennial Peaces takes on New York! 🍎 This city has a way of reminding you how big your dreams are allowed to be. 🌟

The biggest shoutout of my time here will go to Nest Nest — a nonprofit that’s been investing in makers and artisan entrepreneurs like me for almost 20 years now. They have truly been a game changer in my entrepreneurial journey through grants, free training, mentorship, and connections to impactful opportunities!

Stepping out on faith with my strange little idea to make jewelry using fabric has gotten me here. And I’m going to soak it all in!!

Today’s delivery stop: Arbor Acres. 😍 She got two pairs of clip-on earrings for Christmas gifts 🎁

Customized orders mean I get to sit with someone’s story for a while: what they want to remember, who they want to honor, what feels like ✨them✨. Sometimes I know a little, sometimes I know a lot, but it is all special to me.

I feel honored every time someone trusts me to create a “peace” of wearable art.

Before they’re earrings, they’re just raw materials on my table. But then the wire is shaped, the resin is poured, and the beads are picked one by one to match what you had in mind.

For this custom order, every part was bent by handcrafted with care. No shortcuts, no machines — just time and attention from start to finish.

This is the part of the process I never get tired of. Watching a bunch of mixed materials turn into something someone will wear and love.
