Marines. Listen up.

You were built to run toward the fight. To carry the weight. To never leave anyone behind.

But somewhere along the way, a lot of you started leaving yourself behind.

The nightmares you don't talk about. The anger that shows up out of nowhere. The drinking that started as "just to sleep." The silence you call "handling it."

That's not handling it. That's carrying a ruck nobody told you that you could put down.

Here's the truth: asking for help isn't weakness. It's the same thing you did in the Corps. You called for support when the mission demanded it. This is the mission now. Your life. Your family. Your future.

You don't have to do this alone. You never did.

At Healing the Hero, we've been where you are. We don't do pity. We don't do paperwork walls. We do real talk, real tools, and real brotherhood.

3 a.m. Wide awake. Heart pounding. Running every worst-case scenario like I'm still on shift.

For years I called it "being alert." It was anxiety wearing a uniform.

[One line on the night you realized it.]

If your brain won't clock out, you're not crazy. It was trained to never stand down, and it can be retrained.

Comment "3AM" if you know this fight.

Nobody tells you anxiety can look like anger.

Snapping at your kids. Gripping the steering wheel. Picking a fight over nothing because your body's been on high alert since 6 a.m. and it has nowhere to go.

I thought I was just a hard guy. Turns out I was a scared guy who didn't know it.

In the Army and on patrol, that edge kept me alive. At home, it was burning down everything I loved.

Here's what changed it: I stopped asking "What's wrong with me?" and started asking "What is my body trying to protect me from right now?"

That one question slowed me down long enough to breathe instead of blow up.

Your chest is tight. Your mind won't shut off. You're 3 a.m. awake and tired of pretending you're fine.

We've been there.

I'm Daniel Jarvis, an Army combat veteran and former Deputy Sheriff. I've stood in the places where fear was real, and I've fought the kind that lives in your own head. The second one nearly beat me.

The Anxiety Guys is where we tell the truth about anxiety, with no fluff, no shame, and no psychobabble. We give you real tools from people who have lived it.

🎙 The podcast: straight talk every week.
đź’Ş The coaching: one-on-one work to take your life back.

You're not broken. You're not weak. You're carrying too much, and we'll show you how to put it down.

Sometimes healing doesn’t happen in a clinic.

Sometimes healing happens on the water.

Today, Maze and I took High Anxiety out for a ride—not to escape life, but to recharge for it.

As veterans, first responders, and caregivers, we often run until the battery is empty. We answer the call. We carry the weight. We push through exhaustion because others depend on us.

But even the strongest among us need maintenance.

Boats need fuel.
Engines need service.
Batteries need recharging.

So do people.

Taking time to breathe, fish, sit in silence, laugh, pray, or simply watch the water move isn’t weakness—it’s wisdom.

The mission can wait an hour.

Your mental health can’t.

Maze reminds me daily that peace isn’t found by outrunning life. Sometimes it’s found floating quietly in the middle of it.

Recharge your batteries.

The world needs you healthy for the long voyage ahead.

⚓️ “High Anxiety” today.
High peace tomorrow.

What a funny story of the Law Enforcement Job back in the day. Not every memory is bad.
