We here at Medical Training Solutions have taken COVID 19 prevention measures seriously, as everyone should. As of this time, Medical Training Solutions will no longer be offering classes or training in VA. Once the restrictions have eased, the viability of our business will be assessed and determined if we are able to re-open classes. Our exceedingly low costs are mitigated by accommodating very large class sizes. This business model may not be viable, as we anticipate class sizes will likely be severely limited with social distancing protocols and reduced capacity restrictions. If we ARE able to re-open our services, we will post our availability and classes under events and in posts such as these. It has been our pleasure to serve the Lakeridge, Prince William County and NoVA region.

All jobs have pressure, but it's next level when you are doing it laterally. Like trying to start an IV on another nurse or teaching teachers...because, honestly, you know that THEY KNOW how it's supposed to be done. Therefore, I'm over the moon with the feedback from my class last night to PWCS educators: (brag alert)..." Thank you so much for coming to Benton yesterday and teaching the class. Your instruction was BY FAR the BEST training I've ever had. Your approach to the class was appreciated in terms of making things really applicable. I especially liked the real life situations and how do we prioritize the situation. I have taken many courses, but I learned things from your class that will stick with me far longer than any of the previous courses."

Keep watching for additional classes to be added or inquire about hosting a class at your school.
I have offerings throughout the county at different times at different schools. These trainings are "hosted" by teachers such as yourself.
Perhaps you would be interested in having the training come to your school for your convenience.
You and I agree on a date that is convenient for you and your fellow teachers at your school, you send an email announcing the training opportunity to your colleagues, staff and admin ( I have a flyer that I am attaching for this purpose). With only 9 other participants, I will bring everything needed to hold a course at your school! I need a minimum of 10, but can hold up to 30 in the class. You provide us the space in your class or reserve the library and I do the rest. Details of costs, etc are on the flyer. The training is 2.5 hrs and meets the requirement for teaching license renewal or issuance. It is only $15. Others, who may need a full 2 year certification because of HPE or coaching or scout leaders or such, can opt for a $45 version of certification at the same time. This is still a huge discount from most certifications that cost 50-100 dollars depending on the trainer.
If you "host" the training, you get your certificate for free :)
Find the flyer attached and let me know if this is something you'd be interested in.

Happy Hallowee! Prevention is the first link in the Child/Infant Chain of Survival
Before your little goblins head out the door this Halloween, be sure your family is following best practices for keeping everyone safe.

The American Academy of Pediatrics makes the following recommendations:

Plan costumes that are bright and reflective. Make sure that shoes fit well and that costumes are short enough to prevent tripping, entanglement or contact with flame.

Because masks can limit or block eyesight, consider non-toxic makeup and decorative hats as safer alternatives. Hats should fit properly so they don't slide over eyes. Makeup should be tested ahead of time on a small patch of skin.

Do not use decorative contact lenses. While the packaging on decorative lenses will often make claims such as "one size fits all," or "no need to see an eye specialist," using decorative contact lenses without a prescription is both dangerous and illegal. This can cause pain, inflammation, and serious eye disorders and infections, which may lead to permanent vision loss.

Review with children how to call 9-1-1 (or their local emergency number) if they ever have an emergency or become lost.

Small children should never carve pumpkins. Children can draw a face with markers. Then parents can do the cutting.

Consider using a flashlight or glow stick instead of a candle to light your pumpkin. If you do use a candle, a votive candle is safest. Candlelit pumpkins should be placed on a sturdy table, away from curtains and other flammable objects, and not on a porch or any path where visitors may pass close by. They should never be left unattended.

I know I've said it many times before, but I LOVE MY JOB! There is nothing better than knowing you make a difference. I received this email from a teacher this morning following last nights class at Gainesville MS..."Thank you for the instruction. It was the best CPR class I have ever attended. (and I have been in the county for 31 years)."

Why was there an IV pole in the middle of a vacant plaza in Abu Dhabi? I looked all around for an opportunity to ply my trade in CPR & First aid. But, alas, just a lonely IV pole standing tall in a world of palm trees.

Gotta love teaching elementary school teachers. Received a payment in an envelope with all the details printed neatly on the front of the envelope. Only way it would have been better is if she'd safety-pinned it to my shirt to bring home to my mom! 😀

I am interested in taking a class, but the email addresses won't work. I keep getting a message that says the address can't be found or is unable to receive mail. Will you please help? 😊
Sure will, what all does your company do? I miss nursing so much. My grandson just finished basic training with the Ary. He now is at Ft Sam, Texas to become a medic. Hope all is well with you. Love Karol
