I think sometimes, when you've been unhappy or discontented for so long, you forget what it feels like to be truly happy. Not just okay, not just getting through the day, but genuinely happy in your heart.

You forget what it feels like to sing in the shower, dance in the kitchen for no reason, or sit outside in the rain and feel completely at peace with the world around you. To simply exist in nature, without needing anything more from that moment.

I think sometimes we become so accustomed to what feels safe and familiar that we mistake it for happiness. We settle into routines, circumstances, and lives that no longer feed our souls, simply because they're comfortable and predictable.

And maybe the saddest part is that we stop remembering what it feels like to want more for ourselves.

But I truly believe that sometimes the happiness, peace, and fulfillment we're longing for are waiting just outside our comfort zone.

Because there's a difference between feeling safe in your life and feeling truly alive in it.

And the beautiful thing is, you can have both. You don't have to sacrifice peace and security to feel truly alive. Sometimes it just takes the courage to step outside of what's familiar to discover that happiness and safety were never meant to be mutually exclusive.
