Feeding the Soil at Fitschen Family Farm

Today at Fitschen Family Farm in Yuma, AZ, we gave the soil a living drink — fresh-brewed worm tea from DMF Living Soils

This isn’t just fertilizer — it’s a biological inoculant teeming with beneficial microbes that bring the soil to life. These microorganisms rebuild soil structure, unlock nutrients, and help plants thrive naturally without chemicals.

Healthy soil = resilient crops
Microbes = life
Worm tea = nature’s secret sauce

Here’s to growing food the regenerative way in the Arizona desert!

From Brewery Waste to Living Soil

At DMF Living Soils, we’re turning spent b**r grains from Prison Hill Brewery into something far more valuable than compost — we’re crafting fungal-dominant worm castings rich in biology that supercharge soil health.

Those leftover grains? They’re a feast for beneficial fungi — the life architects of healthy soil. Through a slow, microbially guided process, we let our worms and fungal allies transform that brewery byproduct into bio-complete castings teeming with life.

From pint to plant.
From waste to wealth.
From grain to growth.

That’s regenerative agriculture — local partnerships, zero waste, and soil that feeds itself.

Follow along as we brew the next batch of living soil.
