I’ve been obsessed with listening to the Sundays these days, especially the song “Leave This City,” that got me thinking about outgrowing certain places, certain people.
It was a love-hate relationship with this city
Maybe that’s the thing about growing up, u don’t really leave the place. The road back to that first house, the old neighborhood full of familiar faces, the version of u that used to believe things were simple there. You take all of it with u, even when u swear you’re never going back.
