Invest in your body by eating well 💪🏻

Nutrition has always been a personal weakness of mine. I could spend hours in the gym - but I’ve come to realize that what I put in my body is directly affecting not only my workouts but how I feel physically outside of the gym as well.

I’ve started becoming intentional about what I put into my body, thinking of it more as fuel rather than a method of comfort or temporary satisfaction. This doesn’t mean I’m eating “perfect” or counting every calorie/macro. But I’ve noticed that the more intuitive and knowledgeable I am about what I’m consuming, the better I am feeling.

Wrote this 9/11 Memorial Workout to honor and commemorate the 21st anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

Elizabeth Sharum and I will be doing this workout on Sunday morning in remembrance of those who laid down their lives and many more who risked theirs to save citizens in the areas attacked that day.

I absolutely love following other fitness pages on social media - Instagram and TikTok. It is motivating, and so fun to try new things (exercises, recipes, ideas) from others who are passionate about fitness!

Started a new 4-week program for myself that involves lowering the weight but PERFECTING the form of each exercise.

A couple months ago, I was repping 255-270lbs on squats - but I realized my depth was inconsistent. I’ve dropped down to doing 4 sets of 10 reps (currently at 145lbs, but increasing each week), making sure that I am getting as low as I can. I may not be lifting as heavy, but my legs and glutes have definitely been feeling it more!

I’m a big fan of notes and checklists! They are so motivating to me and help me stay on track. As I enter a new “phase” in my fitness journey, I of course had to make some new note sheets up!

In Phase 1, I will be challenging my lifting form and rebuilding some habits I’d like to add back into my routine - specifically adding cardio workouts consistently as I train for the Tough Mudder coming into town in April!

*Disclaimer - my nutritional goals are MY nutritional goals. They will not work for everyone! I base these numbers off of what has worked for my body, and what I hope to achieve over the next few weeks during this phase.
