Doing resistance exercises or lifting weights has many benefits that can be realized if we continue with it for the long run.
Two very important benefits I attribute directly to doing weights are stress reduction and better sleep. I get to let off steam from any stress I experienced during the day and it gives me a good feeling.
I also get a good night’s sleep after I pump weights. The only caveat here is not to try to go to bed right after doing heavy weights as my body is still pump up and my mind is not fully relaxed. I try to give myself at least an hour after lifting weights before going to bed.
