As most of you know, Austin always volunteered for Hudson Valley St. Baldrick's

In 2008, the first year in Walden, Austin raised the most money for childhood cancer research. In the following years, he continued to volunteer and raise money. Most years he shaved but some he helped set up , clean up and worked with E Rock Entertainment LLC. Providing music and photo booth for the event.

Austin was a part of HVSB in memory of his cousin, Megan who passed away from AML.

Now his sister, Iris has shaved her head in memory of him.
The last couple years she has raised money and awareness, this year she decided to give it her all and honor his memory.

I know he is looking down on her smiling 🧡

Tomorrow Oct 21 marks 2 years since Austin's accident. If you are down in Newburgh, stop by his cross on 300 in front of Crystal Run and show him some love.

Austin was always supporting St. Baldrick's Foundation in memory of his cousin Megan, who passed away at 7 years old from AML. In 2008, first year Hudson Valley St. Baldrick's held a head shaving event in the Village of Walden, Austin was excited to raise money to help other kids. That year he raised the most.
In the years following, he continued to raise money and shave his head as well as volunteered his time sweeping hair off the floor, helping set up and clean up for the events and as he got older he worked with E Rock Entertainment LLC. as Eric donated his time, equipment and employees for the cause!

Austin may not have joined this event to walk or run it (we all know he wasn't running in it lol) but I have no doubt he would be there helping with the event.

Last night at the Walden Fire Explorers Post 46 meeting, Jim honored Austin with a plaque.

Austin joined the post in 2017, not long after Jim and Craig brought the program back to life.
He learned the fundamentals of firefighting and attended Explorers weekend for competitions.
From there, Austin joined the fire dept as a junior with his dad, aunt, cousins and several friends for a brief time.

On March 15, 2008 the first Hudson Valley St. Baldrick's was held at the Walden Firehouse. Austin was so excited to volunteer and raise money for childhood cancer research. He was raising money in memory of our cousin, Megan who passed away in 2003. That year, Austin was the Top fundraiser, raising
sing $1511.00

Austin was young when she passed away, but in those couple years they shared some fun times at Papa Macs and Papa Halls. So Austin wanted to do his part in helping raise money.

For 10 years, Austin volunteered at the events. Some he saved his head, some he swept the floors, some he helped E Rock Entertainment LLC. With music and photo booth.

The last HVSB Austin attended was April 7, 2018. He come with E Rock to do the event. His (at the time) girlfriend suggested shave his head. His hair was pretty long in the top. After some help from his dad, grandma, Papa. cousins and Amelia, Austin raised $255 on the spot and shaved his head for Megan!

We all know Austin was a big smart ass, well his heart was just as big.
If you were lucky enough to have his love, his hugs and his I love you then you know what I mean. ❤️

It has been 500 days since I last heard you say love you, since I last got a hug, since I last heard your loud laugh. 498 days since the accident 491 since you gave the gift of life to 4 other people and 486 days since I gave you your last forehead kiss and we said our goodbyes.

Everyday is a battle, one we are not fighting alone. One you are guiding us through!
