Here is a very interesting study published by The Journal of Nutrition Education and Behavior that surveyed college students about their knowledge of trans fats and how often they read trans fat content on food labels. It was found that 37% reported never reading trans fat content, and this group was found to be significantly more likely to eat fried foods.

Attached below is a very interesting study published by The Journal of Nutrition Education and Behavior, which found that children who were given lessons to "Eat Real, Mostly Plants, and Not Too Much" comprehended the message and applied these fundamentals to their everyday life.

Here is a very interesting new study published by The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, which showed a statistically significant correlation between high scores for depression and high BMI, as well as a correlation between high depression scores and poor diet choices. Are you one of the many who do not consume enough veggies or greens because you just don't like the taste? Green smoothies are a great way to get around this problem! The majority of the smoothie is veggies and greens but the small amount of fruit is all that you taste! Give green smoothies a try to incorporate more servings of veggies into your diet

Today's recipe:
1 cup spinach
1 cup kale
1/2 cup broccoli
1/2 banana
1/4 cup strawberries
1/4 cup mango

Pro tip: combine all ingredients the night before in a zip lock bag to save time making your smoothie in the morning!
