Here's a little of my story ⏬️
Starting the adventure of life, a shy 18yr old (pic1) on the cusp of life, embarking on a nursing career.
Progressing to a qualified, Registered Nurse (pic2), loving the patient care and making a difference.
Moving naturally towards Palliative Care, into the slower, more holistic approach of end of life care, in the community and hospices, treasuring the time I can share with patients, family and friends.
When I discovered the pathway of Mindfulness, and how much it helped me, I began a new, aligned journey of sharing mindfulness with others (pic3). It has changed my life, allowing me to handle the investable stresses and strains of life, and allow the joys in.
It can do the same for you!
Start simple, start slow: take a deep breath in, and let the breath out slowly, all the way out. Congratulations, a moment of mindfulness!

When time feels in short supply, use the 'bee' breath to lessen the stress reaction and activate the rest and digest mode, the safe space. Stimulate the vagus nerve, with the b'zzzing sound on a slow out breath, allowing all the vibrations in your palate, ears and throat, to activate parasympathetic nervous system releasing oxytocin, the safe space. Finding and practising mindfulness within my life has been a game changer. Developing skills to relate differently to the inevitable stresses and strains of life has opened the door to exploring the very simple joys and pleasures that crowd our everyday living, but usually go unoticed. These are the nourishing joys, such as the birdsong, laughter, the sway of the flowers in a breeze, the first sip of the tea, which resource me, and create the spacious living moments in the busyiness of life.
