Opting for Health The first line of defense for a healthy life is decreasing your exposure to toxic chemicals. We help you to do both and teach you how.

The second is providing the body with the nutrients it needs to take care of itself. As a registered nurse I have always been dedicated to people's health and well-being. I work with you to develop an individual health program and designed clinical nutrition based on your health concerns, heath history, diet, and nutrition response testing. We then help you to work through those health challenges with the end goal of helping you restore your hope and health.

I found this very interesting.

"Post-Soviet Russia offers a shocking view of the combined effects of pollution and starvation on human progeny. The head of Russia’s environmental commission states that 10 percent of Russian children are born with deformities (increasing by 2 percent annually). One-fifth of these is attributed to environmental toxins.5 He cites studies that point to the widespread use of foods contaminated with agricultural chemicals along with grinding poverty that keeps pregnant women from obtaining little more than survival levels of protein, minerals, and vitamins. The Russian diet rarely includes meat, fish, eggs, or dairy. Neonatal nutrition for many Russian women is primarily starchy food, providing carbohydrate calories and little more.6 UNICEF [United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund] reports that only 9 percent of Russian babies are considered completely healthy. It is of little surprise that a staggering 60 percent of Russian infants show signs of rickets.7
Long ago, nutritional pioneers such as McCarrison, [Dr.Weston] Price, and [Dr. Royal] Lee accurately predicted this kind of genetic destruction, acquired through dietary patterns, that passes to the chromosome of the next generation. Russia stands as a glaring example of their warning."

Something nice to think about as we head into the coming of Christmas.

The days leading up to Christmas—even in the midst of a pandemic—are a blur of social and commercial activity.

"Y’all. I thought this was crazy when I heard it. 😂 But it totally works! 🙌🏻 Put a banana peel in a mason jar of water for a day or two then pour only the water at the base of each tomato plant. Each time we have done this, SO many new tomatoes blossoms have popped up and the plants are getting taller! Apparently, potassium is BIG for tomato plants!" 🍅

“Too often we hold fast to the clichés of our forebears. We subject all facts to a prefabricated set of interpretations. We enjoy the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.” — John F. Kennedy

Series: Health foods that aren’t necessarily healthy
1a. Salad dressing: Even “organic” salad dressings are often made with canola, soybean, safflower oil or vegetable oil. These are cheap and therefore the most profitable to use. Unfortunately, they are also highly processed. The more the processing, the less nutritive value. Animal studies have also shown them to be inflammatory to the body, including the brain. They also heated to very high heat in that processing with is not good to any oil as it creates dangerous peroxides, trans fats, and other bad chemicals that are then only partially removed by more refining.

Our Story

I am a registered nurse and nutritionist. I have always been dedicated to people's health and well-being. Some time ago I realized the long-term cumulative effects of the toxins and chemicals with which we are commonly exposed. I have also come to find that our food sources no longer have the nutrients we need to maintain health and adapt to the environmental challenges around us. As a result we find ourselves in survival mode requiring progressively more medications and procedures just to keep going. This should not be the norm. Our bodies are meant to heal themselves if they are given half a chance and the right nutrients. I use nutritional response testing along with an in depth health history, symptom survey, and a diet diary to help connect the dots and get to the root of the problem. We then develop a program together that can help you regain your health and well-being. If this is something you are ready to do you can call me at 316-688-1346 to schedule a free 30 minute consult.
