What an incredible summer in the practice!
To my current clients, thank you for trusting the space we share to be vulnerable with one another and allowing me to be part of your journey! I truly enjoy each and every session and insight/challenge we share together.
To future clients, I look forward to hearing from you and being part of your own process of healing as well!
As most know, but for others to be aware, I am disconnecting from email and my practice for a long stint of self-care for the next few weeks and will be returning to the office and my emails on August 22nd. I look forward to connecting with you then!

Always learning, always growing, always being human.
I often struggle sharing social media posts.
I'm not an avid poster and it's because of a few reasons:
I don't want to see the success of myself or my business as a therapist as contingent on the amount of "likes" or "comments" I receive from others;
It's scary being authentic and showing yourself as a human
I worry what others might think of my posts and others in my field as seeing them as "wise" enough.
So, I wanted to share that, but also this video of a therapist who is a deeply emotional human who experiences many discomforts, learns how to manage them, and ultimately be compassionate and love myself for being that emotional human.
This is me in a nutshell.
Always learning, always growing, always being human.
Starting my Monday off right with meal prep that was started yesterday and will finish today. When you are a busy bee on Sundays like me, it’s difficult to have time to prep healthy meals for your upcoming week. I stay on top of my food game by asking my partner to help me out while I’m in the office on Sunday’s to grocery shop and chop some veggies, then I put the recipes together for us quick time to finish. It’s important to act as a team when your schedules are both busy BUT also very important to devote yourself to making the home cooked meals that help make our physical and mental selves feel good throughout the week. What’s your secret to healthy eating while maintaining a busy schedule?
If you are anything like me and are tea obsessed when the weather gets cooler and have a zillion cups a day, you may be going pee a whole lot (fun fact right?!). BUT, cool news is - we can also learn to integrate our mindfulness every time we have a cup too! Thanks to @memoryball and the many many different varieties of @teapigs I won at their amazing charity event in April, I can have many different flavours and smells stimulate my senses. Try for yourself and see if you are able to ground yourself in your present moment. Here’s what you can do: pour yourself a cup of your favourite tea. As you do this - listen closely to the water slowly pouring into the cup. Once filled, carefully grab the warm mug (when it’s okay to be touched) and feel the warmth in both of your hands as you firmly grab the mug. Notice the warmth on your palms and each of your fingers. Bring the cup to your nose and smell the tea a couple of times - be curious to the different smells that come about. And finally when it’s cool enough, take a slow sip of the tea. Let it sit on your tongue for a moment before swallowing and notice what happens. Never thought you could love tea even more, right?! Happy tea drinking! #mindfuldrinking #mindfulmoment #mindfulnesstechniques #stresstips #tea #teapigs #yumyum #fallthings #october #therapy #privatepractice #wellbeing #mentalhealth #stressrelief #anxiety #bepresent
It's not all face-to-face client time. For me, I enjoy spending some quiet time at the office on Sundays prepping myself on how I can best meet you better! #socialworker #counselling #alwaysbelearning #bookworm #lifeofatherapist #psychotherapy #sundayfunday #mentalhealth #wellbeing #personalgrowth #roncesvalles #preptime
