Do you ever get tired of meat on a low-carb diet? I am beef-sticked out and don't get me started on chicken. Today I took the time to make an almond flour pizza crust and whipped up a mediterranean-style veggie pizza. It is so delicious! I need more veggie recipes!

Let's talk hills and valleys. How do we bridge the gap between feeling on top of the world and having to force ourselves in the ruts of low motivation. Coming from the valley right now (both literally and figuratively 😜) I can tell you it is HARD. Fighting for your health is not easy. If it were we would all be in the best shape of our lives. Sometimes the valleys are really wide and can take a long time get out of.

We visited Death Valley last week. At Badwater Basin the parking lot looks pretty close. But once you start walking out to see the salt flats you realize its a good 2 mile hike...and that's not even a fraction of the way across the valley. We just kept walking for what felt like forever. Eventually we got to see the cool patterns and take some epic pictures. It may have taken a lot longer than we thought but it was worth it.

When your motivation is low my best advice is keep going. You can never reach that next mountain top if you just stop. It might feel like you are barely moving but as long as you keep doing SOMETHING you are still on your way. Today I'm going to work on some new routines, dust off these last two weeks of cheat meals and irregular activity and head toward the metaphorical foothills.

I struggled this week as we have been stuck staying on an RV lot while we wait for repairs. It's putting a huge damper to our moods (and health) as we are going to miss a lot of cool things due to this set back. But set backs are all part of life right? I had to decide to skip a week of creating new routines or just go with what I've got. This was filmed in the parking lot in front of head lights! And guess what? It wasn't the first time I got out and shook my thang in this silly parking lot! What's your excuse? Get up and dance.

Its been 4 days since we left the gym... I felt I needed a workout tonight but what to do when you are stuck in an RV dealership lot for the 3rd night because your heater is broken? (Yeah we still have to live in it even though its in the shop.) Well, you stick the phone to the wall and suck it up butter cup! 😂 I'm well past getting embarrassed in public. I just did the full hour Get Your Cardi on Class in the parking lot!! Want to know how many calories you can burn?

Having a daughter has really made me take a deep look at how I view my body. The last thing I want is for her to talk to herself like I used to talk to myself. It's not an easy thing to reverse but I'm trying. Tell me I'm not alone - anyone else chronic body haters out there? Let's end that cycle now. Because...she's watching.

Yesterday was my offical last day working out at Lifetime. I'm so honored to call these ladies friends. If you missed my personal page post, they went all out at my last hip hop class with shirts and hugs and well wishes. It's hard moving on to our next contract and leaving behind my new friends! But I'm inspired by them to keep dancing and shining. When you go out of your way to lift someone up you never know the impact you might have on them. I'm headed to Reno looking for someone to Bless and pay it forward. ❤

"STOP SHAMING YOURSELF. NO ONE ELSE IS."

Can I be vulnerable for sec? (This might get lengthy but stay with me here - it's important.)

I'm not perfect. I'm no where close. Sometimes I get discouraged by a picture or video that reveals an unflattering shirt or pose. I know I shouldn't care but it can be crushing to see something that looks to your eyes different than it felt while you were rocking it. That was the case with this week's video. I almost didn't post it. In fact, I asked my hubs to re-film it for me. His response to me was just what I needed to hear. And maybe you do too.

I have come a looong way. I have been busting my tail working out and making difficult choices about the food I put in my body for over 6 months now. I have lost over 30 pounds and my shape is changing. I'm a work in progress and I should be darn proud of that progress. My goal for this page is not perfection. It's the process, the journey. And this is MY JOURNEY. I don't have a perfect "fitness instructor" shape but it's real. And there should be NO SHAME in it. STOP SHAMING YOURSELF. NO ONE ELSE IS.

So... there you go. My imperfect self shaking my thing and hopefully inspiring YOU to do the same. If you are working toward good health good for you! Celebrate your successes and STOP those terrible inner voices that try to discourage you.

We had plans to go to Sedona this weekend... but it's snowing there!! Some of you all know how much I love snow BUT we aren't about to drive Wendy up the mountain in a snow storm. (Yeah, Wendy is our RV we travel in.) We settled for Lake Pleasant in North Phoenix which was so beautiful even though cloudy. Great hike and I even got to sport my tank top. This location was a popular lookout so I kept having people drive by or stop and park next to me to take pictures. 😂 All in the name of filming a few routines for you!
