There’s nothing wrong with asking for advice.

Nothing wrong with needing support, seeking guidance or learning from others.

But how often do we ask someone else’s opinion and then immediately question what we already felt was right for us?

I’ve been learning to notice when I’m genuinely seeking another perspective… and when I’m looking for someone else to give me permission.

Because there’s a difference.

One helps me grow.

The other can keep me disconnected from my own voice.

And sometimes the most important question isn’t “What do you think I should do?”

It’s “What do I think I should do?”

You can be open to guidance and still trust yourself to choose. 🤍

For so long, I confused trusting myself with needing to have everything figured out.

As though asking for help meant I wasn’t capable of finding my own way.

But I’m beginning to see things differently.

We aren’t meant to navigate life entirely on our own.

There’s so much value in connection, guidance, learning and allowing ourselves to be supported.

The difference is whether we’re seeking another perspective or asking someone else to make our decisions for us.

And I’ve certainly done both.

I’m learning that I can value someone else’s wisdom without dismissing my own.

I can listen to advice without automatically following it.

I can ask for support without handing over responsibility for my life.

Because self-leadership isn’t about doing everything alone. It’s about remembering that my voice matters too. 🤍

Breathwork is the doorway. But what happens afterwards matters just as much. 🤍

One of the things I’ve come to understand through my own journey is that transformation doesn’t happen through one powerful experience alone.

We can have beautiful moments of clarity, connection, emotional release or awareness during a breathwork journey.

But then we return to everyday life.

The same relationships.
The same responsibilities.
The same situations that can trigger our familiar patterns.

And this is where integration comes in.

It’s about taking what we’ve experienced or become aware of and gently bringing it into the way we live.

How we respond instead of react.
How we honour our needs.
How we speak to ourselves.
How we choose to show up when things feel uncomfortable.

Not perfectly. Not all at once.

But through small, conscious choices, again and again.

Because the real transformation isn’t just in what we experience during breathwork. It’s in how we begin to live afterwards.

This is the heart of what I’m creating through Revive You — breathwork and embodied integration to help us reconnect with ourselves and learn to live from that connection.

If you’re curious about experiencing a breathwork journey, I offer intimate group sessions and private 1:1 experiences. You’re always welcome to reach out. 🤍

How often do we look outside ourselves for answers we may already have within us?

We ask for advice.
We seek reassurance.
We wait for someone else to tell us what to do.

And sometimes, underneath all that searching, is a fear of getting it wrong.

I know this pattern so well.

For a long time, I thought I needed more knowledge, more confidence or more certainty before I could trust myself enough to move forward.

But I’m learning that self-leadership isn’t about having all the answers.

It’s about being willing to take responsibility for my own life, even when I feel uncertain.

It’s recognising that I can receive guidance, learn from others and ask for support without handing over the responsibility for my choices.

And perhaps most importantly, it’s giving myself permission to find my own way.

To try.
To learn.
To change direction.
To grow.

Because self-leadership isn’t about doing everything alone. It’s about not leaving yourself out of the decisions that shape your life. 🤍

We often think self-trust is about making the right decisions.

Knowing what we want.
Feeling confident.
Never second-guessing ourselves.

But I’m learning that self-trust is something much deeper.

It’s about the relationship we have with ourselves through it all.

When we make a mistake.
When things don’t go as planned.
When we feel uncertain, afraid or disappointed.

Do we turn against ourselves?

Or can we stay present, offer ourselves some understanding and find our way forward?

Because learning to trust ourselves doesn’t mean we’ll always make the right choices.

It means learning that whatever happens, we don’t have to abandon ourselves in the process.

And perhaps that’s where real self-trust begins. 🤍

15/10/2026

How often do we make a mistake and then use it as evidence that we can’t trust ourselves?

We replay what happened.
We question our judgement.
We tell ourselves we should have known better.

And sometimes the hardest part isn’t even the mistake itself.

It’s the way we speak to ourselves afterwards.

I’m learning that I can take responsibility for my choices without turning against myself.

I can acknowledge what didn’t work.
I can make things right where I need to.
I can learn something and choose differently next time.

Without making it mean that I’m not good enough.

Because making a mistake doesn’t make you a mistake.

And maybe one of the most powerful ways we build self-trust is by learning to stay on our own side, even when we get things wrong. 🤍

One of the questions I often get is whether it’s better to start with a group breathwork journey or a private 1:1 session.

And the answer is… it really depends on you. 🤍

Some people love the experience of breathing alongside others. There’s something beautiful about sharing a space while each person moves through their own unique journey.

Others prefer a more personal setting, where we can slow down, explore what’s present and tailor the experience to their individual needs.

Neither is better than the other.

And you don’t need to have a particular issue to work through or know exactly what you want to get out of breathwork.

Sometimes simply giving yourself the space to pause, breathe and reconnect is enough.

This week’s theme is CHOOSING, and perhaps part of learning to trust ourselves is recognising that we get to choose what feels supportive for us.

✨ I offer intimate group breathwork journeys in Durbanville, as well as private 1:1 sessions tailored to you.

If you’re curious about breathwork but unsure where to begin, you’re welcome to DM me and we can explore which experience might suit you best.

How often do we hold ourselves back because we’re afraid of making the wrong choice?

We overthink.
We second-guess ourselves.
We look for reassurance.
We wait until we feel completely certain.

And sometimes, in trying so hard to make the right decision, we end up not making one at all.

I know this pattern well.

But something I’m learning is that self-trust isn’t built by always getting things right.

It’s built in the moments we choose to trust ourselves enough to take a step, even when the outcome is uncertain.

And perhaps the most important part isn’t whether things work out exactly as we’d hoped.

It’s how we meet ourselves when they don’t.

Can we allow ourselves to make mistakes without turning against ourselves?

Can we learn, adjust and choose again?

Because self-trust isn’t knowing you’ll always get it right. It’s knowing you won’t abandon yourself when you don’t. 🤍

Not every feeling needs to become an action.

Sometimes we feel fear.
Sometimes doubt.
Sometimes an overwhelming urge to react, withdraw or seek reassurance.

And while all our feelings deserve to be acknowledged, they don’t always need to be in charge.

This is something I’m learning more and more on my own journey.

That I can feel something deeply without immediately needing to do something about it.

I can pause.
I can listen.
I can get curious about what’s underneath it.

And then choose how I want to respond.

Because self-trust isn’t about ignoring our feelings.

It’s about learning to honour them without allowing every emotion to make our decisions for us. 🤍

08/10/2026

Sometimes the hardest part of learning to trust ourselves is knowing what we’re actually listening to.

Is it fear?
An old pattern?
The need for certainty?
Or something deeper within us?

I’m learning that I don’t always need to figure it out immediately.

Sometimes I just need to pause long enough to notice what’s happening within me, without rushing to react or make a decision.

Because fear isn’t always something we need to get rid of. Sometimes it’s simply a part of us trying to keep us safe.

And we can acknowledge that fear without automatically allowing it to lead us.

Perhaps discernment isn’t about always knowing the difference.

It’s about creating enough space to listen, question and choose more consciously.

Self-trust isn’t the absence of fear. It’s learning that fear doesn’t always have to make our decisions. 🤍
