Cold therapy can support different areas during chemotherapy. Scalp cooling may help with hair retention, while cooling the hands and feet may help reduce the risk or severity of peripheral neuropathy and nail damage or loss.
Because chemotherapy support can be about more than your hair. 🤍

A change doesn't automatically mean cancer. But a change that is new or unusual for you is worth paying attention to.

Get familiar with how your breasts normally look and feel, and speak to a healthcare professional if you notice something that concerns you.

A lump isn't the only thing to look out for. Changes in size or shape, skin texture, ni**le changes, swelling or unusual discharge can also be worth checking.
And while October puts breast cancer awareness in the spotlight, looking after your health is a year-round thing.

Know your normal.
Trust your instincts.
Don't put off getting something checked. 🤍

Different diagnoses can mean different treatments, different side effects and very different experiences.

But whether someone is facing breast cancer, lymphoma, leukaemia, lung cancer, ovarian cancer or another type of cancer, support matters.

At Kalon Cold Therapy, we focus on supporting people through chemotherapy with cooling solutions designed for different parts of the body:

Cold Cap for the scalp
Cold Mitts for the hands
Cold Slippers for the feet

Because cancer care isn't one-size-fits-all. And neither should comfort be.

October may be known for pink, but cancer doesn't come in one colour.

There are many different types of cancer, each with its own diagnosis, treatment and journey. And behind every ribbon is a person navigating something deeply personal.

This month, we're recognising every person affected by cancer. The women with breast cancer. The men with prostate cancer. The people facing blood cancers, lung cancer, ovarian cancer, childhood cancers and so many others.

Different cancers. Different journeys.
The same need for care, support and compassion. 🤍

At Kalon Cold Therapy, our focus is on supporting people through chemotherapy, wherever their cancer journey has taken them.

This October, let's make space for every colour, every story and every person.

FAQ: Why do I need more than one Cold Cap?

Because one frozen cap can't stay frozen forever. And when you're using scalp cooling during chemotherapy, keeping the scalp consistently cold is important.

As your first cap warms up, you switch it for a second frozen cap. With Kalon Cold Caps, we recommend changing caps approximately every 80 minutes, so having a spare frozen cap ready means you can keep the cooling going without interruption.

It might sound like extra planning, but once you're at your treatment session, it's simply a case of swap, refreeze, repeat.

A little preparation beforehand can make the day that much easier.

A gentle reminder for anyone navigating chemotherapy today. 🤍

You don't owe anyone a brave face, a positive attitude or a smile when things feel difficult. You're allowed to feel tired. You're allowed to feel frustrated. You're allowed to have moments when you just need to be.

There is no single right way to move through this journey.

Be gentle with yourself today. You're doing the best you can with what today brings.
